2 adults and a 13 year old visited for a week in August 2022. We stayed in a partial sea view mezzanine room which meant we had a good amount of space. The food for the week was nice with a good amount of choice and the Cretan beer was tasty. We spent 3 days at the resort and had 3 day trips. The sea was lovely, warm and clear. There were plenty of loungers. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant team worked very hard to keep the tables clear and clean. I spent time in the spa which was very relaxing and we also had a meal in the rooftop restaurant which was tasty and very good value for money.
Service and staff are all very kind and professional , food is great with vast variety even for vegetarians , we had a lovely spacious room and although we are a couple only it was big enough to accommodate a family. Housekeepers and the rest of staff are very hardworking always making sure that all the place is clean. Special thanks to Nora in Guest and relations who was very accommodating and always welcoming us with a genuine smile .
Very good experience like last year, the hotel offers many opportunities for active vacation as well such as the olimpic size swimming pool, tennis court, gym, daily sport classes etc. The facilities, services and the staff are 5*
We spent an unforgattable week on this hotel. Good quality of food, every corner of the hotel is clean!! What an olypic size swimmingpool with its 50 meters. It is impossible to get bored, in every hour you can find interesting programs as yoga or other trainings like aqua gym with very kind animators.
Had a great stay. Room was lovely with two excellent swimming pools. Food and drink was very good and bar and restaurant staff were excellent. Only negative was on occasions we had to deal with reception. Not the best and didn’t follow through on a few tasks they said they would do for us.
Came back after 2 years, lovely place but this year I have been blessed by meeting Nora. She definitely made a change and a great impact. Nora is friendly, professional, efficient and really cares about customers. I happened to be sick and she promptly came to the rescue, making my stay feel like home. I will never be grateful enough for all she has done for me. It doesn't happen every day to find people like her. The resort could improve the cleaning of rooms and the beach, however all the staff at the bar and restaurants are very friendly and accommodating.
Its been a few years since I visited Kiani Beach Resort. I was there last time with my family in 2014. I decided to go back to Crete after the pandemic lockdown and saw that the hotel was extended with a new wing. So I requested to be in the new wing (south) for part of my holiday (1 week) and decided to go the north wing for the 2nd week. I saw quite a change In the hotel. An olympic size pool in the south wing (I love my lanes in the morning), rainfall shower in the bathroom and very spacious rooms. The rooms have a. balcony or a small terrace which makes an evening aperitif in the sunset quite an experience! This was mirrored by my stay in the south wing too for the 2nd part of my holiday. Food was great, as I am vegetarian I was a bit concerned before I arrive on the variety of the vegetarian dishes, but I can say I was pleasantly surprised with the variety and quality. My favourite one was marinated artichoke salad with capers sprinkled with thyme! My kids enjoyed being in the pool the whole day and after the kids disco in the evening they were ready for bed, which was very convenient for myself and my wife to have late dinner on a few occasions on the rooftop restaurant (a la carte menu). A definite recomendation for the wine lovers! The staff were very professional (I mainly interacted with the morning shifts in the beach bar and throughout the day in the pool bar). I look forward to my next trip to Crete, hopefully sooner than last it took me last time…
The hotel try hard to be competitive but by far not a five star. Thanks to the Assistant General Manager Mr. Sofoklis who waste a lot of energy and many Km. every day to be everywhere at the same time the hotel keeps a balance. For sure is an asset for the hotel. Great effort from the supervisor Antonis and bartender Panagiotis. Very clean hotel despite of some technical infelicity. Overall the value for money is definitely overvalued.
As mentioned in the title, you can easily reach everything you need for eating, pool, children playground, kid club, beaches, by walking within 1-2 min. Especially to give a merit to all the staff related to sports & kid club, they're really great and take care all our needs.
We spent 10 days all inclusive (non VIP) and really enjoyed our holiday here. Just a few tweaks needed here and there but would definitely recommend. Pros: - maisonette room with 2 bathrooms so spacious, clean and modern. - friendly staff and lovely animation team which our two 7 year olds loved. - good selection of food and well stocked. - beautiful scenery of mountains behind hotel - rooms cleaned every day and lovely housekeeping team.. - clean pools and one really big one with swimming lanes. - drinks and food readily available all day. - lovely indoor spa pool which is nice to retreat to when the weather gets too hot. - great location and about £38 euros for a taxi from the airport (about 25 mins away). - loved the evening entertainment. - lots of sun beds. - pool life guards at both outdoor pools and beach which is fab. - right on the beach which you can walk along for a long time, stumbling upon other little places. - has a relaxed, fun vibe. - good room air con and wifi strong. - 2 mini marts which sell pretty much everything you will ever need! Cons: - needs more soft landscaping, I would have liked more flowers. - grass areas under sun beds need cutting, looked a bit unloved. - food area a bit loud at peak times. - no humous or pitta bread! Tzatziki and Greek salads delicious though. - need more sofa areas in the mountain side part of hotel like the beach side bar. - music too loud on beach pool side but fine if you want a party atmosphere - maybe just have it on later in afternoon? - sun bed umbrellas need maintenance as some tricky to put up.…
