This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Iowa City. Given the proximity to bars and restaurants, and that Iowa City is a college town it is remarkably quiet. The hotel staff are somewhat helpful; depending on the season, the hotel may not always be as clean as one would like.

The location could not be better. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't need it again until we were leaving. Barb at the concierge desk was AMAZING. She explained there shuttle service and gave us walking directions. I was going to put our luggage in the car on our last day but she stopped me and insisted on...

Stayed at this hotel as it was the conference headquarters hotel. Great pick for headquarters as it was on the pedestrian mall and near a town of bars and restraints! The rooms were very nice if not a bit dated, but no complaints.

While we were not happy with the condition of our room, we were pleased by the prompt action by management, namely Cisco Beard, who compensated us, without asking, in a very timely manner. Rooms are in need of TLC, especially for the price, but we are pleased to know that this manager is helpful and concerned about the issues we...

The location near the campus is great and out the back door is a nice strolling mall of shops and restaurants. The lobby is nice and the room is good, just not great. We thought it was a good value when we booked the room, but not when a $20 daily valet fee was required.

The location of this hotel is wonderful, and that is about where the really positive things end. We checked in for one night this past weekend, and it was a full house. Parking was $14/night and breakfast was also additional. The hotel is in need of a slight upgrade. Our room was a double queen room on the 4th floor....

I don't usually review big hotels where I spent very little time but this hotel was great. Friends loved the beds. We all loved the staff. From Stasi who checked us in to all the others offering us shuttle service on a cold day. They all have really great suggestions around Iowa city and the room was nice and clean.

I have stayed many times at this property the last couple of years. The location is absolutely the reason I stay there, and the hotel is in decent shape, but it has started to show it's age. The service is Euro-style so you get decent attention, but nothing too friendly and nobody is going to bend over backwards to help....

The location is great, but there are better options in IC. To start, some of the rooms are faced to an indoor swimming pools. This is a close as you get to prison architecture without a sentence. But bathrooms were renovated, but still, rooms and corridors need an use lift.

The Sheraton Hotel was comfortable and centrally located and walking distance to restaurants as well as CVS. When it is a cold place location becomes important, and this one is a winner, it is right in the middle of everything, nice restaurants all around.
