My husband & I love the Brown Street Inn and look forward to staying there whenever we are passing through Iowa. Mark & Bob are the most gracious of hosts. The inn is inviting, full of lovely antiques & artwork. We have tried almost all of the rooms & each is different. I think it's hard to pick a favorite....

I've had the pleasure of staying at the Brown Street Inn several times over the past few years. Mark and Bob are wonderful hosts, the rooms are comfortable and quiet, the sitting rooms gracious and peaceful, and the breakfasts are absolutely delicious. Can't recommend this place highly enough, and I wish I could visit more often!

My sister and I were in Iowa City for a concert at Englert Theatre and chose the Brown Street Inn to experience the town. Mark welcomed us as if we were friends and showed us the public areas of the home, a beautifully decorated living room with fireplace with french doors and huge windows facing the front porch; and a...

Mark and Robert are fantastic hosts, and their B&B was perfectly appointed. Beautiful, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, lovely sitting room and front porch, and tasty breakfast. Great location in a beautiful historic neighborhood walking distance from their vibrant downtown. It was the perfect setting for a meet-up with my parents. It felt like being at home because we weren't cooped...

My last stay at Brown Street was, I believe, my 5th stay with Mark and Bob. My wife and I traveled to Iowa City for the weekend to visit our son who is in school at U of Iowa. Each stay at Brown Street has been remarkable for the overwhelming hospitality we have experienced. Bonus: comfortable rooms, quiet street, great...

My wife and I stayed at the Brown Street Inn when in Iowa on business. The hosts were super friendly and the Inn was wonderful with stylish and comfortable rooms. The hosts provided us with information about where to eat and what to see.

I have stayed at the Brown Street Inn numerous times while on business and find it perfect for my needs. The breakfasts are ready when I am; the desk in the room is perfect to work at during the day, and the exceptional quality of the house makes me feel at home even when I'm away. I highly recommend this...

Between 2007 and this year when my work with an Iowa City organization ended, I spent many nights and had many breakfasts at the Brown Street Inn. I was there often enough that I got to know Mark and Bob very well and, through me, my wife and both of my kids also got to know them. They are, in...

We had a great experience at Brown Street Inn. The owners are wonderful and made us feel right at home in Iowa City. The inn is nicely appointed and very clean. Coming downstairs to a lovely breakfast in this beautiful old home was fantastic. I can't wait to come back. We walked into town every night.

We've stayed in numerous B&Bs over the years, and Brown Street Inn is truly one of the best experiences: warm, yet unobtrusive hosts; beautifully maintained, and artistically decorated home; great breakfast [lots of fresh fruit: a plus for us!]; and very conveniently located to downtown and campus. The owners are great.
