The only thing wrong with our visit was that we could only stay one night. This hotel is lovely. It is privately owned, quiet and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was included. The king size suite was huge and included a giant bathroom, a wet bar, a fireplace and living area. Our son had a corner room with soaring ceilings and differently,... More

What a wonderful hotel located in the heart of downtown Des Moines. Lovely lobby, spacious room, and modern bath. Breakfast was provided in a room a bit too small on one morning. Perhaps some seating should have been set up in an adjacent area to relieve the congestion. Parking was available (free on weekends) in the ramp across the street.

The standard, two queens room was quite huge. The room included a fridge, a very large closet, big chair, large desk. Soaps were black lava and lemon from Italy (which were great!). Check in was fine. The staff gave us decent directions to our evening event. We parked across the street. It was a little weird that we had an... More

I am normally not surprised these days in travel but this hotel was wonderful. The front desk friendly and quick and very professional attitude with a smile. The room was quiet, clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel was location was central and did I say quiet. The lobby is nicely decorated and also comfortable. Great place to stay... More

My only regret was that I was there for only one night. Arrived in the late afternoon for a concert at a local bar. Check in went smoothly, had issue with key card working the first but worked after a return trip to the front desk. Enjoyed room service before concert. Shuttle service there and back was great so u... More

1) AC didn't work properly until our third day there (requested it to be repaired TWICE). 2) Understood I was paying a discounted rate, but the view for that type of room? Just horrible. 3) Asked for an itemized copy of my bill on departure, said because I was on a discount by a third party, then we had to... More

After a long day on the road, this hotel was paradise. The lobby and bar are very inviting and the service was fast and friendly. Our room was big, comfortable, quiet, clean and nicely decorated (much nicer than standard hotel furnishings). We walked a block and a half to a very nice restaurant recommended by the person at the front... More

This is a very good boutique hotel and one of the best I've stayed at. And likely the nicest one in Des Moines. The lobby is beautifully designed and a great area to sit down and relax, read a book or catch up with work. It has the sophistication and feel of a high end NY SoHo lobby. Someone clearly... More

This place is beautiful and reasonably priced. The service was excellent. This is now our go-to place to stay in Des Moines. Lots of fun within walking distance, but there's also a shuttle if you need a ride.
