This is an old opera house converted into a hotel. It is absolutely gorgeous!! The rooms are so antique and custom, with beautiful crystal and bed spreads. The restaurant is awesome too and the bar is pretty hoppin!

The hotel is a mix of old style class and some new conveniences with helpful staff that took care of a large group. At check-in on new years eve the concierge called their manager to reduce the price of an upgrade to a room I had booked in advance. They reduced the price by eighty dollars so we could have...

I have stayed at this hotel many times. Each time it gets a little worse. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. In the King Suite we stayed in the wallpaper was peeling in several places, all of the gold fixtures were tarnished and looked terrible. The room rates are all over the board depending on what is going...

Hotel Winneshiek has the most convenient location, comfortable rooms, and the best team members! All the staff we encountered during our stay were incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Melissa at the desk was very friendly and attentive throughout the weekend and gave me an info sheet for a self-guided history tour when I asked about the historic property. Would love to...

This restored historic hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff could not have been more helpful. The King Suite is so spacious including 1 1/2 baths. The room we had was so quiet you didn't even know anyone else was in the hotel. The bed was very comfortable. Was very nice to walk around downtown, several places to eat, shop and...

Awesome architecture! The service was excellent! The Scones were wonderful in the Cafe! Just a jewel in the center of a gorgeous town! The whole town is within walking distance. Coffee shops, book stores and museums. The historic district was great! Truly a destination town.

The hotel was just breathtaking. The rooms were quite and roomy. Breanna the front desk agent was informative of the hotels history and the local businesses/restaurants. She went above and beyond her duties to make us feel comfortable. She was just simply amazing and we will most definitely be back when in the area to see her.

We stayed here for our anniversary and we're very pleased with everything. The Tap Room downstairs is a great friendly little melting pot for all of the guests and locals to mingle. This hotel is worth the extra cost compared to other hotels. You will not regret the choice!

The location and atmosphere were great. It was nice to have many dining choices within walking distance. We stayed on a Thursday and many of the small shops had extended hours which made an evening walk more interesting. The only reason we didn't give an excellent rating was that we felt it time for an update to our room carpet...
