We've stayed at this older, well maintained motel twice. Prices are very reasonable and the rooms are very clean, but there are no amenities (not even Kleenex in the room.) No breakfast for guests. If you want nearby restaurants or other attractions, this is not the place for you! There is a Casey's right across the driveway, however. If you...

I made our late reservation over the phone. The person that took my reservation said he wouldn't be awake when we arrived after midnight. He made sure the door was open, the heat was on, and a light was on. Perfect! Everything was just what we needed. It was clean and smelled so good!

Recently several friends of ours stayed at this hotel with us. Unknown to us at the moment one of our friends were turned away for being "too fat". He was asked to put down a $400 deposit in case he broke the bed or find another place to stay. We didn't realize at the time that he had left. If...

Another regular stop on my way across I-80. Owner is a very nice guy to know, he appreciates customers. Nice clean, friendly place to stay. Only yards off Exit 110 I-80. Room 10 was very clean and well-prepared, nice hot shower unit, clean bathroom. There's a Casey's store/gas station next door who do pizzas, or drive 3 miles to Adel...

Older motel but it was clean and had hot water. Newer furnishings. The linens on the beds were too worn and old. The outside of the motel was a little unkempt. They should have paid more attention to details. We also needed black out curtains. The room should have been able to make it darker. Overall , though, the place...

Stayed here a few times while travelling across I-80. Its at Exit 110. Very nice motel, owner very good and welcoming. Good value. There's a Kum&Go across the road and a Casey's Store next to it . You are quite near to Winterset where the John Wayne birthplace museum and the Bridges of Madison county are. Gets my vote.

This is an old roadside motel. The room was were clean and the host was very polite and helpful. The room could use some updating but that is usually to case with the old mom and pop type motels. Very nostalgic and good value for the money.

We reserved in order to simply have a cheap place to sleep for a SHORT night (arrived at 11pm, left at 6am). Great, talkative guy at the desk; a very small motel that had small double beds, outlet covers very loose, a wall lamp missing from the wall, pillows flat and old, bathroom clean but minimal. We paid $52 (including...

After searching online for a place to stay on our first day traveling back home to Colorado from Chicago, I found this small yet comfortable looking inn on Google maps where there were five positive reviews. After spending more time trying to figure how much travel time it would take to get a certain distance from Chicago, I felt an...
