We enjoyed our stay at the Spring Hill Suites in Omaha. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Michaela was just leaving for the day and was extremely helpful to make our stay more enjoyable. Thanks Michaela !!!
Pros: Large rooms, friendly staff. Cons: Old dirty furniture, bar was out of things and didn't seam to care. Didn't pick up room and replace towels unless you asked. Too pricey for the quality of the establishment.
If you choose this hotel you must lower your standards on the quality of room, amenities, cleanliness of the facility in general. If you take into account that this is a major hotel chain in a sea of hotels you might want to fish elsewhere. The cleanliness of the room was lacking of care and attention to detail with stains on the carpeting, furniture, bedding , and hallways were dirty with stains and holes in the walls. Paid Friday night rate for a two star hotel chain quality. When arrived in room, TV would not work and was only given two towels for four people. Front desk staff stated that they “can’t fix the TV and towels were being laundered” at 10 o’clock at night. I would recommend checking other locations before deciding on this particular Springhill.
This property was nothing fancy but they did have free cans of BEER and finger foods as a reception. They also had hot breakfast with Gluten free bagels. Rooms are clean and updated, and it is a short ride to Omaha Zoo.
As loyal Marriott customer, this hotel was booked based on airport shuttle service. Then upon check-in learned that the 5am shuttle was only available for flight crew, not guests. Per Marriott website at time of booking the hotel offered Airport Shuttle service, on request, complimentary and was available from 05:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu. The 5am shuttle was needed for Monday, May 16, 2022. The desk clerk and general manager claimed they have never offered a 5 AM shuttle and that we would have to arrange and pay for our own airport transportation. (Note a 2018 TripAdvisor post mentions the 5am shuttle.) Is this how Marriott now embraces their customers and integrity?
I stayed here one night after a long drive across the Midwest. When I arrived, I had a very difficult time finding a parking spot. When I entered the hotel, my heart sank when I saw dozens of kids running around. I quickly deduced that the hotel was full with a youth's sports teams and that I would spend the night listening to kids running around. However, my fears were baseless. I informed the front desk agent that I was a light sleeper and she put me in what she described as the quietest room in the hotel. She was right! My room was spotlessly clean, everything worked perfectly in the room, and I couldn't hear a peep from teams. I didn't use the pool since it was packed with people, but it looked like it was well cared for. The breakfast was decent, but I got there at the same time as 20 or so families, so most things were out of stock. The staff member was doing her best to refill things as fast as she could, but it's hard to keep up with dozens of voracious kids. I was very thankful that my request was accommodated and that I got a decent night's rest. I am planning a trip in the area in the distant future, and will definitely stay here again.…
Edward at the front desk was amazing. We were kinda late and wanted to use the pool with the kids and he was quick to get us checked in and so friendly and patient with ALL of our questions!! Thank you Edward for giving us a great start to our visit with your hotel!!
I have to admit that I was seriously taken aback by my check in today. The blond tattoed lady behind the front desk was absolutely angry. She treated me quite badly when I asked simple questions (were you able to put me on the top floor? How much for these sodas I am getting from the market?, etc.). Frankly, this one should not be put in front of customers. She hates them and paints a poor picture. I can tell you for sure that THIS customer will not return because of her. I won't sit down for being treated with such disrespect and hatred. As a Marriott Ambassador Elite (top level VIP) I have spent the last several years almost literally living at Marriott. But I have noticed that more and more of them (if not the majority) lately are filled with staff that is overwhelmed and in bad spirit. I run into it all of the time. The so-called "Ambassador" level means nothing to them. Folks, it is just a Marriott marketing thing but it is otherwise useless. Don't work toward it or feel like you are special for attaining it. These properties are franchises paying for the Marriott brand. They don't care about this Elite level stuff and they certainly don't care about you. The incident checking in this property today has been the final straw for me. I will be avoiding hotels in general if I possibly can and Marriott specifically has seen the last of me. I am done.…
The only plus side to our first and last stay, was the 3-11 desk clerk and her trainee Short term memory, but her name, I believe, was Alisha(sp), or Ashley(sp). She was doing everything possible to right what was going wrong. She even wanted to help us move our things, all three times! First room, with temps well below zero, the thermostat wouldn't even turn on. She had no other rooms on first floor, with two beds and handicapped accessible bathing. My husband has a walker, but can't handle elevators due to his Menieres disease. We attempted to put a handicap shower chair in the tub, but the tub was too narrow, so we had to move again. Third room, we couldnt get the thermostat to stay where we put it, the wind was howling through the windows all night, there was no coffee in the room, and the beds were worse than a roach motel. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were three fourths empty, and I can enclose a picture of the near empty, and the quarter full toilet paper rolls. For being a Marriott, I was thoroughly ticked off. Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android Show more…
This was my second multi day stay in the past 4 months. Rooms are spacious and up to date. Mikayla and all the staff at the hotel are exceptional and will do what it takes for you to have a great stay. Hotel is near many local attractions and is walking distance to the Mid America Conference Center.
