I took advantage of a discounted Caesar’s Rewards rate to reduce expenses on a recent business trip. The check-in was smooth and the room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The casino staff was very pleasant and made for some enjoyable game play. My only negative was that the room did not have a desk to set up and work for a bit. There was only a sitting chair and side table neither of which were conducive to a laptop set up.

We booked for a 3 night stay. For those 3 nights there was ZERO housekeeping and trying to get extra towels was like pulling teeth. We did ask a housekeeper that was in the hallway by our room if they could please take care of the garbage and replace towels. Nope. Nothing. The hotel was okay but it could have been a lot better.

We spent a weekday night at Harrah's casino and hotel. The hotel room was clean and comfortable with king bed, 2 soft chairs, tv and fridge. The bathroom was nice but did not have a walkin shower. It die have a tub shower, and the exhaust fan was adequate to keep the mirror from fogging even with a long hot shower. We had not been there since it was Harvey's, which we really liked. It was very disappointing to find that the large casino had been reduced to only one deck on the boat and a total of 500 slots. The slots were generally tight, but I did have a few good hits. I really missed the great buffet they used to have, but most casinos have closed their buffets do to covid. There was a small cafe, but half of it was roped off, so even on a Tuesday night the wait was long to get seated. The limited menu was good, and the price was moderate. It listed breakfast all day, but did not open until 10:00 am. There was no place on the property to have breakfast before 10:00.

Sad to say this Harrahs hotel has seen it’s day. We have stayed here many times but this last time made us think that Harrahs or Caesars entertainment should be ashamed of themselves. I actually got the creeps in the room. The bed was made poorly, the bottom sheet would not stay and I would end up laying on some felt type mattress pad. The shower curtain was ripped at the top and would not fully close. The carpet was stained, no USB plugs anywhere. It just felt dirty. The drains are slow, just so many things. I believe whoever owns Caesar’s entertainment are letting the properties go not just this one, although this one is bad. I have been loyal to Caesar’s and it is sad to me that whoever is in charge of their properties just do not care enough to upkeep them. The casino itself is nice, plenty of games, but having only one place to eat Guy Fieri’s was another huge mistake in my opinion. Their cafe there was awesome. They do still have their steakhouse, but for grabbing a bite Fieri’s is it and the prices are quite high. I’m sorry to write this review as this property has always been a favorite just for a weekend getaway, Wish I could be more positive.

I have been staying at this Casino for over 20 years now and I have watched it slowly decline in the cleanliness, staffing, and rewards. The staff use to personalize your stays. I never had to pay a deposit, always received free rooms no matter where I traveled and the service was wonderful. Now the rooms are run down and dirty, there isn't valet service, no buffet, no shop in casino, and if you want a drink while playing the wait is half hour or they just cancel your order. With all the new Casino opening and having pools, and more dining services, I don't know how they will stay open. I have been to many resorts and this one charges a resort fee but no resort extras they even charge for internet even when you don't want it. No pool and no free shuttle service anymore.

We have been long time customers since this property opened as Harvey’s in 1996. After the merger with Caesar’s years ago, the quality remained. But now— after a buyout from El Dorado, it is clear the new management does not care about customers AT ALL. Rooms are tired and dirty. Bathroom floors with hair and dust, mold in the tub/shower. Badly in need of new mattresses, carpet, etc.
Restaurants are either closed or short staffed, but regardless of that fact, you cannot use your comped meals for takeout. Which makes no sense given the fact that they don’t have the staff to serve customers in the actual restaurant. For years, we would use our monthly food comps to take meals up to our room. No more… Even if you are a guest at the hotel, you cannot use your food comp coupons for takeout. Utterly ridiculous! I have seen nothing but reductions in service and comps since this takeover. In spite of being long time Diamond plus member, my husband and I have decided it’s time to find a new casino home. Sad…

At check-in they told me that I was in a smoking room on the 1st floor. We don’t smoke and DID NOT want a smoking room. The gal at the front desk was as nice as she could have been considering the situation and the fact that the hotel was sold out for the Poison show. She said I will ask my boss and see what I can do. (I thought that I was at a car lot for a second after that one) She came back and said that the boss said it was okay to get us a “non smoking” double bed room on the second floor. As soon as we walked in the door the wave of stench hit us. It may have been a non smoking room, but the the hotel ventilation system does a fantastic job of pulling all of the smoke from the first floor into the rooms on the second floor and it only got worse as the night wore on.
Furthermore, the construction at the entrance is a pain and the rooms are musty and the decor is dated. I sure hope that they make updating the rooms and ventilation system their priority.
For past shows at the Cove that we have attended, we have stayed at the HGI connected to the Horseshoe and have used the shuttle. This time we decided to “splurge” and spend $300 to stay on site. HUGE mistake.
Save your lungs, and $150, and stay elsewhere!

1. They advertised daily room service and skipped over my room. We asked for some supplies (toilet paper, towels and coffee). We asked 3 times for the coffee and never received. 2. There was a very small grill with limited seating. We had to leave early because there was a long wait for breakfast. The steakhouse was apparently limited hours and seating, but the elevator didn't go to the 12th floor and we were not notified how to access this option, and it was only open after 5 pm. 3. The room smelled like it was dirty. The beds were comfortable butt the room smelled bad. 4. There was only one desk employee for the entire hotel. It took forever to get anyone on the phone and there was very limited response. The excuse for this was that people don't want to work, but there were plenty of employees in the casino. 5. No valet parking 6. Overpriced for what we got. No better than a Quality in ($89), charged us $150 7. The charging was very confusing. The website said, "starts at $89," then the lowest price was $177. On my credit card they charged me for a deposit that was never explained, then there were two different room rates for one stay. 8. There was apparently a manager standing by that didn't help with answering phones or dealing with customers, etc. 9. Customer service at this hotel was the worst I have ever seen. No one was ugly or mean, they just weren't there. You can't charge for a full-service hotel when there are no services and all the venues are closed, like bars and restaurants and helpers. 10. THE REFRIGERATOR was off. We brought food back to the hotel and it went bad after not knowing that it was off. This ruined about $20 of food and juice. We should have been notified that it was off or it should have been on when a guest is staying there.

This hotel was great! Everything was clean and the bed was amazing. I will say that the pillows are embarrassingly small. Of course, the bathroom was a little outdated but it was clean so it was fine. I will say while I was checking in, this gentleman named jerry was checking in in front of me. Apparently he stays for four days every week. He was upset because his usual room that he likes (odd number and on the end of the hallway) was taken already. He was incredibly hostile to the front desk worker. I forgot her name but she was a manager and had dark hair. She was very nice to this gentleman and handled the situation appropriately. Jerry was so hostile that she had to get security to come. He threatened her and cussed her up and down over this particular room. She literally had put him in the next room over, which should have been fine. Regardless this made me and my husband and the other guest have an extremely long wait to check in. This gentleman ended up yelling at all of us when he was finally done checking in. The way he treated this hotel employee made me want to go stay at Amstar because I didn’t feel safe. You would think that Harrah’s would care more about their employees safety than one single player who obviously just needs a place to stay for four days a week. Other than this awful check in experience, I enjoyed my stay.

Walked into a drab, older room 906 with frayed carpet. Nothing in the room had been updated. The bathroom still had gold fixtures. Everything just seemed tired making it seem dirty. We stayed because not much was available during the CWS. Hotel price gouging is awful. This room the next week was $150 cheaper Smoky casino that gives no bonuses or payouts is on the first floor. There are 2 restaurants we didn’t try. I wouldn’t stay again
