Spacious room and very comfortable. Had a bit of trouble with the reservation I made online but they were able to accommodate us. Will stay there again.

First for the "SHINES"...Front desk personnel were friendly. The room was clean and the bed perfect to our liking....comfortable and firm (of course we were tired after 10 hours on the road). There was a good supply of soap. Room had an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. And, there were two sinks. At 5:00 PM there are fresh chocolate chip cookies and hot dogs available in the lobby.......cannot pass judgement on the quality as we did not partake.

Now for the other side of the coin......The room did not have a refrigerator, coffee maker or microwave which is often found in similar properties. Both sinks were without sink stoppers, making it difficult to shave as I am accustomed. The bathtub/shower water handle turned 360 degrees making it very difficult to find when the water was FULLY turned off.

And, compared to similar properties, this one is, in my opinion, a little pricey.

This is a small older hotel but quite nice. We used to stay here often when our kids were little because they liked the warm pool and we liked the hot tub they used to have. The hot tub has been gone for years now but the pool is very nice and warm still. Our now 15 year old daughter went in and loved it. It looks like they've recently painted and recarpeted so it's fresh and clean. It has a nice breakfast nook. The select is a little limited but the biscuits and gravy are excellent. A good value if you don't want to spend a lot.

Very disappointed. Our room was dirty and smelled terrible. The front desk assistant said we could cancel our reservation but we had to contact Expedia since we booked the room through them. Expedia cancelled our reservation and refunded us. Three months later, we received a charge on our credit card bill from Western Inn for the night's stay, even though they agreed we could cancel our room and Expedia refunded us. Paul, the manager, said there was no way we could confirm our "story" since it had been so long since we stayed there and that we would not be refunded the charge. He was difficult to understand and had very poor customer relations. He claimed something about Expedia charging them for the reservation since it was cancelled on a no-refund policy and we had to pay for that charge. I talked with Expedia on March 27, who said "We guarantee that we didn't charge the hotel for cancelling this booking." I am now spending hours trying to talk with a live representative at the credit card company to dispute this transaction. I have wasted money, time, and energy trying to rectify an unnecessary situation resulting from poor management. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked with mileage points for a close stay to OMA, not high expectations but turned out to be awful. Smell was offensive when entering, air conditioner had been off so room was musty, humid. After close to an hour the hallway was cooler than our room. Attendant came to check air conditioner and said it needed time to cool room, again after a long wait, it was the same and he brought in a small fan., we requested a room change but none was available. We went to the indoor pool to cool off only to find it almost too cold to enjoy. Room was otherwise clean as was bathroom until we showered and noticed shower curtain was mildewed at the bottom.. We would NOT recommend the Western Inn.

We booked an accessible bathroom room but found out our request was just a suggestion and not a guarantee. And it was up a steep stairway. Not sure how they expected someone that needed an accessible bathroom to be able to climb that stairway. The hotel is old and works much better as a weekly rental than a nightly rental. We paid quite a bit for this rental and were quite disappointed in the entire process. Definitely won't stay here again.

I don’t even know where to begin. Should I start with the pubic hairs in the sheets in our first room? Or perhaps I should start with the blood stains on the shower curtain? No, I’ll start with the fact that the bathroom sink has a hot water knob, yet no water comes out of it. Maybe this was an add-on that we failed to request? Let’s go back to our first room. Pubic hairs in between the sheets? Check. But there was some other…stuff in the sheets. I couldn’t tell if it was fecal matter or some sort of aged and dried chilis. Suffice it to say, either way, it was an unexpected and unwelcome surprise. The clerk was kind enough to give us a second room. The second room had head hairs between the sheets of one of the beds. Not just a hair but quite a few. It appears that this hotel employees a laundry system that has guests sleep on one side of a fitted sheet and instead of cleaning the sheet, they just flip it over. Anyway, where was I? There was dirt in the shower and the shower only kind of half worked. Every towel had some sort of staining on it. The place is just disgusting in nearly every way. If you stay here, your spouse will leave you and they would be right to do so.

Here’s the thing. I don’t really do reviews. It was a pain to sign up to write this review but I did so in order to warn you and your family of what you’re getting yourselves into.

I recognize options may be limited during the Men's CWS, and costs crazy high - so this place is a more affordable option. Bite the bullet and stay elsewhere. Language is difficult. Amenities are sparse. A/C may or may not work. May attract a less than desirable crowd.

The room smelled dank and smokey. (non smoking room). Air conditioner too loud to sleep through. Sheets and towels stained, unclean bathroom. Night clerk did not respond to repair request afterhe said he would check out the room. When I talked to the manager he was rude and hung up on me. I tried to go to a new hotel but there was no vacancies due to a tournament.

Checked in to one room & waited for an hour for it to cool down. Finally moved to different room that actually had air conditioning. New room the bed sounded like a tympani every time you sat down on it. Mattress was not good. This motel is cheek by jowl with the railroad track. Language problems were a sparkling part of the experience. Does allow pets.
