Super small rooms for a great big price... there were better places available for a lesser price, we found out too late!! They were clean and staff was friendly, but there was barely enough room for us let alone the two dogs that we were traveling with as well.

Other than the inaccessibility fo make changes to the heating/cooling temperature and fan speed, everything was good. You had to remove the entire front panel of the heating/cooling unit to make changes because the small door that should open was stuck and would not open.

We have stayed in this Microtel several times over the past few years and have always been satisfied. The rooms have always been clean and the management always responsive. This time it was not the same. The hotel has some good points for sure. It is convenient to I-80 and all Casinos, and the Quaker St8k Restaurant across the street is unique, fun, and has great food. The not so good came after we checked in. The elevator floor was truly dirty. It looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Since this is a hotel that has a fairly large number of transient laborers it is understandable that the tracked in dirt is hard to keep up with, but at least try to keep things clean. Getting ready for bed my wife showered. The tub would not drain so after her shower it remained half full. I tried to get it to drain without any luck, so I called the desk and explained the problem. I was matter of factly told that she would turn in a work order and they would look at it tomorrow. She said there was no maintenance person available until then. There was no apology of any sort. There was not even an offer of another room. I was left with the choice to not take a shower or to be quick and watch that it didn’t over flow. After about an hour it did finally drain down on its own so I could take a quick shower. A minor irritation is that most hotels give you at least two paper or plastic cups. One for the bathroom and one for the in room coffee maker. This Microtel only gives one per person. The problem is that after using the paper cups at night for brushing teeth, etc. in the morning they are soggy and ready to fall apart. Also the gross thing about this is that if a person uses their cup at night to brush teeth, etc. then they are using this dirty used cup in the morning to fill the coffee pot. Yuk! Not a very good practice. As we were leaving in the morning my wife glanced up and looked at the smoke detector. The battery door was open and there was no battery in it! Someone had removed it. I don’t know why, but the bottom line is that we were in a room without an operating smoke detector. Seems like this should be checked daily. When we went to return our key to the front desk there was no one in sight. No bell to ring. Just a box that said to drop our key in. I would have liked to talk to someone about the room issues but no luck. Having been a Wyndham member for years I am used to having a fair room at a fair price. I have come to accept minor problems because sometimes things slip. What I do not accept is poor customer service: no maintenance person available and no attempt by the front desk to make it right. And a dangerous room without the required smoke detector. We won’t be staying here again.

OK, it's not a 5 star hotel ,but it's a room ( and more). It's a great deal for the price, with a really good breakfast included. Room is modern, clean and front desk ( Tony) was very friendly. Breakfast is self serve and included scrambled eggs with potatoes and sausage. Waffles, pancakes, yogurt, juice, biscuits and gravy plus more. Convenient location .

In March I made reservations for two rooms, with two beds in each room, for July 20, 2019. After we checked in, we went to our rooms and found there was only one bed in each room! Needless to say we were surprised and upset. The person at the desk said the motel was full, so they couldn't do anything about it. They also said that was the way the request came to them. Needless to say, I will never use Hotels.com again!
