Accommodations were great. Rooms clean and beds comfortable. Quiet, couldn't hear the neighbors. Location was close to our wedding venue outdoors. Great experience at the Radisson. Only negative short staffed as everywhere as the trash by the elevator on the floor was there our entire stay.
My son’s basketball team was assigned to the Radisson for a tournament last weekend. The bad reviews had me nervous and wanting to switch hotels. Front desk: everyone was welcoming, kind, helpful Rooms: dated walls, but clean and comfortable. One note- each bed only has two pillows, so bring one of you like extras! Pool: nice sized, WARM pool with plenty of seating Free Breakfast: biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, eggs, meats, variety of fruits, waffle maker and other basics- all so good! And the staff was constantly cleaning and refilling food. Showers: dispite other reviews, everyone on the team said they had hot showers all weekend Location: easy access and less than a mile from X-treme arena where we played all weekend Other: restaurant was good and reasonable priced, no bugs in our room, fitness center was basic but treadmill worked well Overall can’t beat the quality and amenities for the price!…
The first room we were given was very cold and we were unable to change the thermostat, there was a very musty smell and the carpet outside of the bathroom was damp. The hotel did give us a different room, but it still had a musty smell. These are issues I expect to see in budget hotels, not in a hotel like the Radisson. I called and left a message for the manager so I could make sure that he was aware of the issues, but he never returned my call.
The Radisson Hotel has friendly and helpful staff members. Staying here while attending a business event was great. Food supplied was tasty. After hours was quiet even though there was group of us ladies attending. I could not hear the next room or if someone was in the hall.
Clean, big rooms. Beds were awesome. Breakfast hot and good. All staff was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay again. Sad the hot tub wasn't open, but that's ok. Close to everything, easy to find.
Do NOT stay here, this hotel has serious issues. On checking in, the king room I was given has a toilet that was shooting water out the back of the tank flooding the floor when you flushed it. There were no other King rooms available, so I was downgraded to a 2 queen room (There was no refund for not having a king room and having a to take a cheaper room). The room had a odd smell, like people had been smoking in it and there was some kind of spray to cover it up. The lampshade looked like it had been crushed. I went to get in bed, there were stains on the sheet and there was no mattress pad on the bed. The other bed looked ok (I checked thoroughly), so I slept in it. The pillows are so flat, it took all four to get to a typical pillow. If this was the "better" room, I would had to see what the others are like. The hotel is significantly dated. Broken emergency lights in hall, gas smell in hallway, paint peeling off room doors, etc. Bathroom is tiny and you could barely get in and shut the door. (you have to shut the door to get in the shower without crawling over the toilet. The few dollars you might save staying here are NOT worth it, this hotel is disgusting.…
Staff was pleasant, bathroom floors were dirty and sections lifting up on edges...breakfast was very minimal..not a lot to choose from as far as food or drink. No staff there to maintain items that were gone.
I'm in the travel industry so I completely understand the challenges facing this hotel. However, not enough towels for a 2 night stay. I took a shower at night, I had hot water. My Dad took a shower in the morning and had cold water. We had to make the bed for the sofa bed, that was supposedly supposed to sleep 2 and barely slept 1.
Corridors were Smelly, When entered the room, it was messy, there was a Used cup in the refrigerator(Which i think was not cleaned.), also the sheets on mattress were not tucked in properly. There were Hairs under the sheet and floor was not clean at all. Overall not a great experience, Felt worst than a Cheap Motel TBH.
I booked this hotel for 2 days to help my son move into an apartment in Iowa City. My son’s friend passed away unexpectedly and I called to push up my reservation so he would be able to attend the services. The hotel refused to refund my first night or change the reservation. I am completely disgusted with their lack of empathy. Shame on them.
