I was researching some ancestry in Centerville. I took a chance and stayed at this charming B&B. This is assuredly one of a kind. The accommodations were nothing less then wonderful. Everything was as clean as could be. Even the bed was wonderful. That isn't the best part though. Visiting with the owner was overwhelmingly charming. When she was not...

Excellent food, and service delightful.....lots of fun gifts to purchase also! I have been here three times, each time I visit my parents in Iowa. I live in Washington State. The food is always delicious and the deserts out of this world. It's an older, quaint little bed and breakfast.

One of a Kind B&B is more than just an inn. It's truly a remarkable journey into a living and breathing history. Joyce, the sweet Innkeeper completely goes out of her way to ensure you're satisfied. There is a nice tea room where we had a delicious breakfast both days. Her pancakes are incredible! You will feel really connected if...

My Brother & I were looking for a point in Iowa to meet that would by approximately the same for both of us to travel. That point came to be Centerville, Iowa. I always go to Tripadvisor first to check out the reviews on many of the local establishments. When I read the reviews on "One of Kind", I saw...

First of all, I consider myself middle-aged. I met my brother here for a weekend get away. For us it was a lot like going to visit our grandma for the weekend. Very nostalgic and quaint. Joyce is the owner and operator of this establishment, along with some part time help. She was such a great lady and we ended...

We should have known better when the only place that still had rooms available was the "One of a Kind" B&B. In late spring we decided to have a family reunion at Lake Rathburn. We made numerous calls to all the lodging establishments within a 30 mile radius and the only places that still had rooms were the Continental Hotel...

There are really two good places to stay in Centerville and we chose this B&B to kick off our weekend at Rathbun Lake. Wasn't sure what I was getting into but we were pleasantly surprised. I loved the gift shop and Tea Room on the first floor. We loved chatting with the owner about the history of Centerville, which is...

If you love b&b's this place is in mainly it's original form and full of charm. Joyce is amazingly sweet and kind. The b&b is very affordable and breakfast both days was excellent! We would highly recommend a stay with One of a Kind! We'll be back to stay in some of the other rooms!

We all have that favorite family member we remember as a child. We don't know them well but always look forward to seeing them once a year because they make us feel so welcomed. That is what you get at this wonderful bed & breakfast. All the rooms in the house are decorated so wonderful. The food is definitely One...

Rooms were just OK. Price high. Breakfast was nothing special and no choices. Have to climb several steps to get to room. Shower tub and curtains were not very clean. Located across from a bar and sometimes caused disruption in middle of night with people drinking too much. But the town is very small so not sure if other places...
