I was so impressed with the Green Leaf B&B. The house is beautiful and was decorated wonderfully for the holidays. Valerie was so welcoming and made a wonderful and delicious breakfast including some fruit and a to-go coffee to take with me to my business meeting. The room was amazing with a very comfortable 4-post bed and a bathroom with a huge shower and jacuzzi tub. I came here with the intention of needing a play to stay for business but it was such a great experience that I would definitely come back for a weekend getaway. I would highly recommend.
I attended high school in Bloomfield and came to this house a several times during my high school years. It was owned by George Kyl and his stepson was a friend. I did not know what to expect when Valerie greeted me at the door but from the first look at the stairs to my room, to breakfast and throughout the house, I found myself wanting to see more. She and Gary have restored it to a wonderfully original condition - woodwork and decorations throughout are flawless. Breakfast is not to be missed. Wonderful. Ask Valerie for the recipe to the blueberry dish for breakfast. I took coffee in the kitchen while they prepared breakfast. The light in the center is from Delft in the Netherlands and others have been found to compliment it - the white brick around the fireplace in the kitchen is stunning. Best B&B I have ever experienced.…
This beautiful home has been remodeled to accomodate it's guests in comfortable luxury. The home is decorated beautifully with attention to every detail. The home is spotless. The owners, Gary and Valerie, are very accommodating. After a five day stay, it was sad to say goodbye. The ever changing breakfasts are some of the best I can remember. Very quiet home makes for a relaxing and restful stay.
Fantastic place. Will stay here again for sure. Gary and Valerie really made me feel at home. Great rooms. Private bathrooms. Valerie just made me the best breakfast. On my first day, I had to get up very early and go to meetings. Valerie offered to make breakfast early, or make me something to go. Very nice.
We stayed one night in the Presidential Room. Very comfortable king bed, spacious room with great walk in shower. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. We had our choice of two different home made quiches along with Apple pecan bread and fresh fruit. The hostess is very welcoming and made our visit extra special. The town of Bloomfield is fun to explore with a beautiful courthouse in the center of town. I highly recommend spending the night at the Green Leaf Place B&B.
