Had occasion to stay at Mustang County Lodging again. Once again it exceeded all expectations. Owners seem to put a lot of effort into the things that matter. I’m very picky about cleanliness, and this place looks and and smells clean from the window blinds to the bathroom corners. I strongly encourage travelers to chose this American owned and operated business.

We were planning on being in Bloomfield as a stop on our way home from a long distance kayak race in Missouri. I found some good reviews on Mustang Country Lodging and noticed the owners took time to respond to each of their customers in a very sincere manner. I called and made a reservation had a very nice lady take my call and reserve us a room at their motel. We were scheduled to arrive at 8:30 pm however our event ran late and we called to inform the management that we wouldn't be there until 9:30 pm. They were once again very courteous and knew exactly who I was when I walked in the office. In a matter of a few minutes we were checked into a nice comfortable air conditioned room that was quite welcome after a long day in the hot sun. The rooms have been recently remodeled and remind me of a downtown loft we rented in Charleston, SC on vacation a few years ago. The hardwood floors and decor are nice plus there is a microwave and mini fridge to keep our beverages and fresh fruit cool. The bed was very comfortable the high quality air conditioner could be easily adjusted to whatever level was comfortable.We had a very restful night as the motel was quiet and because the owners live on the site felt our kayaks on the top of our vehicle were very safe. If you are looking for a good place to stay in South Central Iowa and want a good nights sleep at an excellent rate make a reservation at Mustang County Lodging. They don't have a pool or a Jacuzzi but then you aren't paying for them.…

I stayed here in August 2016. There is no pool, no Jacuzzi, in fact there isn't even a coffee pot in the room. But I really liked it here. The room I was in had a laminate wood floor and it was very clean. I would definitely stay here again, because for the money, it is definitely worth it. The staff was friendly and helpful. I left my computer power cord behind, and they helped get it back to me. My suggestion to them was that the room needed a towel bar near the sink and maybe some better blackout curtains. I don't have a problem sleeping with light but some might.
