If you like walking into a hotel lobby with noise like a local bar, walls so thin you can hear everyone above, below and beside you, rooms lit up like a christmas tree because the window shades are so thin and the flood lights and parking lot lights are so bright you can’t sleep, and no fan option to run to block out noise on the thermostat then this is the place for you. This is my first and last stay at a Cambria Hotel. Worst sleep ever at a hotel and we stay at a lot of hotels. If you like loud, obnoxious, kids everywhere kind of hotel then book here.

I had the pleasure of staying in this brand new Choice Hotel while in the area on business. I have to say I was quite surprised by the boutique look that this property brings. I have now stayed in some of the Ascend Brand Hotels that Choice has and I have to say Choice is becoming one of my preferred hotel brands when I travel. This hotel is new, stylish, elegant and very well designed. From the moment you walk in you notice the brightness the colours and the thought that went into the hotel's design. The Lobby is glowing and bright and there is a very opulent bar and a common area. I was given a complimentary drink and had a beer and a great chat with the awesome Alex who the bartender that night. The check-in was seamless and I got a great room. My room was bright new, very artsy as it had an artistic mural on the wall, and although the room itself wasn't huge, it is laid out very ergonomically. Being a modern hotel, The Cambria's rooms have many USB ports and outlets, some located right on the desk area and some built into the headboard of the bed, with outlets on each side. A business traveller's dream. The desk was long enough that I could work comfortably. My bed seemed bigger than it was but very comfortable which lead to a great night's sleep. The couch at the end of the room was a nice touch and a great place to stretch out. The bathroom was spotless and had a modern eco-friendly shower head with good water pressure and endless hot water. If you are someone who likes to keep in shape, this hotel's fitness center will impress you, it has all the equipment you would need for a good workout and it's new and clean. The fitness center has cardio machines, a cable machine, free weights as well as many different sized exercise balls and mats to work out on. Now for the Breakfast. The breakfast here is amazing!! You will have a great selection of food and it is very affordable. I was able to start my day with a great selection of food to hit all my macros. The amount of food you get is worth every penny as for me it was more than enough. I had fresh eggs, great bacon, homemade breakfast potatoes and a side of rye toast. Yes, this is a great hotel and for the price and value, you just can't go wrong. The only issue I had was connecting to the internet by phone and my laptop. There was something going on as I had trouble connecting. I do hope this has been addressed as I want to come back. For the area and for the price you can't go wrong. Book through the Choice app or through your Choice Rewards account to get an even better price.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to a few local restaurants and bars. There is a large sports complex across the street with a bowling alley and Game Center inside. It’s located right off I-80 in a nice area. The only downfall for me was the 20 minute or so ride to Davenport.

We are from the Quad cities. I have three kids all who are involved in travel sports. We frequent the Bettplex quite often and when we saw the hotel being built we were excited to see it go in, in such a great location. It was my son's birthday and we decided to surprise him with a staycation. We were going to have his 2 cousins and grandparents join us for pizza and cupcakes and then do a little swimming. We stopped in to the hotel to look at the pool and the gathering area in the lobby area to see if it would be a good fit for our group of about 10-12 people. We spoke with the man at the front desk and told him our plans to have family over for pizza and asking if it would be okay and where they would have room for a group of 10 or 12 to gather. He showed us a few different places in the lobby and also said if their conference room was not being used (which he highly doubted it would be booked for a Friday night) then we could maybe even use the conference room. So we booked the room online that night. Fast forward to the next day. Our son was so excited for his birthday hotel stay. We arrived to check in and I immediately asked the gentlemen who was checking me in about where we could set up for our family pizza dinner. I informed him I had talked to the man the night before and he said it wouldn't be a problem there were several places we could set up. I told him he had told us about maybe using the conference room if it was available. The gentlemen was very nice and said that should be fine and "why don't you guys go ahead and get settled in to your room and I will ask my manager" we brought ALL of our stuff in and unpacked. The manager was not helpful. He offered us 2 tables in the front corner of the hotel. The tables sat 4 people each total of 8. I told him that would not be enough seating for our family dinner (even if it were just my family who were staying the night we had 5 in our family the seating would not have been adequate) I asked if we could use the tables off to the side or the conference room like the guy had suggested from the night before. He flat out said "no you will just have to make the area up front work" he told me there were couches and that some of the family could sit on the couches to eat. SO we tried to make it work there was an island with news papers and a couple of pamphlets we moved two small stacks of pamphlets to put our pizzas boxes and drinks on so that we could use the tables to eat at (we only used half of the island I circled in the pictures the 2 pamphlets we moved to the opposite end of the island) The manager waited until we got everything set up to then come over and tell us we could not put our pizza or drinks on the island. I told him that there was no way 4 boxes of pizza and chips and 2 liters were all going to fit on the two tables along with all of us trying to eat there. He made us feel very put out not at all welcoming or accommodating. I asked him why we could use half the island and he told me because it was where they had to keep the pamphlets. I was baffled I told him so we cant move these two pamphlets to the other side of the island for at max 2 hours to accommodate our family dinner? He told me that the hotel has to abide by all of Corporate rules and if someone from corporate came in and saw the island being used they could get into trouble. I told him I think Corporate would have seen how accommodating the hotel was and how the guest were all happy and being taken care of. He was so very rude. They all acted so stuffy like they were too good of a hotel for a family to stay. I never would have expected that from a hotel located next to a sports complex. Like I said I'm a sports mom my family travels all over the midwest for sports and our teams stay at hotels all the time. Every hotel we have stayed at has been super accommodating to our team dinners. I would highly caution anyone planning a stay with a team or kids who want to hang out in the lobby and eat pizza as a group. They are way too stuffy and think they are way too fancy for that. I posted pictures of the tables they offered and the small area we were using for our pizza that he asked us to move. In the end I felt so very unwelcome. I told the manager that it wasn't like we just barged in with a whole team of rowdy kids and took over the place. We had stopped in the night before to check things out and ask if it would be okay and if the gentlemen from the night before told us we could only have the 2 small tables up front and that they frown upon groups gathering and using the islands and counters for what they were made for than we would have booked at one of the 50 other hotels nearby. I asked for a refund, we repacked our car and headed to the Hyatt 5 miles away where we were pleasantly greeted and even offered a beautiful gathering room with a large table, buffet for our food, a fireplace, and tv. They were so very helpful bringing us pitchers of ice and trash cans and anything we needed to feel comfortable and taken care of plus the pool was bigger and the Hyatt has a hot tub. I will never stay at a Cambria hotel and HIGHLY recommend others stay away as well. It just blows my mind that a hotel that close to a sports facility would not be accommodating to groups and ours was a very small group I can't imagine how they would act towards teams and large groups of kids who like to have get togethers and hang out together in the lobby. This hotel is located in the wrong place if they want to be a fancy, stuffy hotel its certainly NOT for families or group stays. So sad. Drive the couple of miles away to get better accommodations and WAY better customer service!

Dear 769terrap, I am so sorry for what you experienced at the Cambria Hotel Bettendorf - Quad Cities. At the Cambria we are very familiar with dealing with families and lots of children. I can assure you we are extremely family friendly and love to host children. I am so very sorry for what you experienced and it sounds like you experienced the very opposite of what we pride ourselves on. In reading this review I can tell you we completely lacked communication in this specific incident. When we lack in communication within our organization we let our guests down in meeting their expectations and for that I am truly sorry. I can't apologize enough for how this incident went and I truly hope there will be another chance for us to show you what the Cambria Hotel Bettendorf - Quad Cities is all about.
