Stayed 2 nights with large dog in stone mill cabin. Staff pleasant cabin was well supplied rand comfortable rght next to river with great views and access. There is a camper area behind cabins that is on a lower level and very small about 5 families there during our stay which was not problematic. Cabins are on a main road but not too noisy. Our cabin could have benefited from minor cosmetic repairs ,but was clean and had great bed linen .cabin decor was great and slept 6 very spacious for families and they are pet friendly. Bellevue is very pretty and has nice mom and pop stores eaters etc. We are already talking about going back. The owners also have a beautiful bed and breakfast called mont rest goole it you wont be disappointed.

The cabins are cute, comfortable and clean. The location is ideal- they're on the hilltop right by the river near the outside of town, so it's quiet but also close to restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay there again.

We rented two nights at Moon River Cabins in August. We stayed in The Paddlewheeler cabin. The pictures that are on the Moon River website must be quite a few years old. Yes the cabin is on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi, but they haven’t trimmed any trees, cut down volunteer trees, weeds, broken limbs, etc. The view now is very minimal. And you do wade through the yard of weeds and not mown grass. It is false advertising! The logs of the cabins are very deteriorated, lots of spiders and other insects. Piles of dead plants by cabin door. And also there are the two big motor home things below you and the RV PARK to the right. We also had problems with the kitchen, the pans were unusable and filthy. When you are inside it looks nice enough, but Not taken care of. We wanted to open the windows to the river and most of them did not have screens. Looking around, we just thought it was a shame that they hav left it to rot.

The impression we had from the adverts was that it was a rustic and rural environment. Actually the cabins are wedged in very tightly between the main road and a large RV park. Sitting on the back porch of our cabin for example we could hear the sound of trucks, motorcycles, etc rumbling along the road on one side, while we had to look over the back of a holiday trailer (complete with humming AC unit) and rows of parked camper/recreational vehicles on the other side. It's a shame they didn't arrange the cabins more strategically, maybe plant some trees or hedges, to help hide the fact that the location is so uninspiring. On a positive note however, it is only a short walk to the (tiny) town centre.

Moon River property was not at all groomed. Weeds and more weeds. Grass not mowed. Did not feel the cabin was properly maintained. Sits on bluff overlooking a commercial building/campground. Would not recommend along with the fact you cannot get a refund.

I liked it. Our view was the top of a house and an RV park. Also I wished they would plant trees by the sidewalk so we don’t see cars whizzing by. Just to make the place feel more secluded. But I like the multiple fireplaces you can burn wood at. I loved opening the windows wide to see the river from your window. The staff were friendly as was the neighborhood.

I stayed here with my family for a short get away. Beautiful setting, and walking distance from a great park and ice cream store. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and hanging out. Great rustic experience.

We had not been to Moon River Cabins before, took a chance and we are so glad we did! Our cabin was The Paddle Wheel, it had everything we needed to call it "Home" for a long weekend! We had coffee every morning outside on the covered porch and drinks each night. A wonderful view of the Mississippi River was right there. We watched the barges go down the river. The cabin was clean, roomy and so darn cute! The staff was friendly and informative. Just around the corner from our Cabin was the 2 Moon Authentic BBQ...really only 10 steps! There were tables outside for eating or you could take the delicious food back to your cabin to eat in the kitchen. We did both. We were so delighted with this, we will be going back!

Family with two little kids stayed in the "Mill Creek" cabin. We got great service from the staff when we reached them by phone and met them around the grounds. This cabin has three bedrooms, one that was just right for the kids with a nice floor to play on. That bedroom was only accessible through another bedroom. Not a problem for us, but good to know. The front entrance is through the third bedroom, which wasn't a problem but was unusual. It would be hard for someone to leave the cabin in the morning without waking sleepers in that room. That biggest bedroom is also right next to the highway, so bring a noisemaker if highway noise is a problem. The kitchen was well stocked and had toaster, coffee maker and microwave plus an oven and stovetop...and even a tiny dishwasher! Kitchen was only room with enough seating for our whole group of 5 to be in at once and the table was tight at that. This cabin was quirky and unpretentious, which fit our trip just right. Note that this cabin is the one of the four that does NOT have a good view of the river. The front porch had a view of the highway and the restaurant patio (oh yeah, this cabin is attached to a little restaurant that serves BBQ on the weekend...we weren't there on a weekend, so I don't know if that's awesome or troublesome. Wish we could have tried some, though.) The other cabins looked like they have really nice river views however. It wasn't clear if we could use the hammock by one of the other cabins, but there is a fire pit with a river view that we knew we were welcome to use. Bellevue is a nice little town. An easy walk from the cabins to a few different restaurants and bars. We'd definitely stay here again on a future visit.

Very quiet, clean place with great views. Paddle wheel cabin has best view of river of the 3 cabins there. New BBQ restaurant just opened up on site but not part of cabin business so good food just a few steps away.
