Detailed Reviews
We somehow found Hotel Sladnova, which seems to be in a small town in the middle of nowhere. We had stayed in dreary hotels in the area before, but this time we were in for a pleasant surprise! Hotel Sladovna was lovely and very welcome after a long day driving the countryside. The hotel itself looks especially modern and has a beautiful elevator, nice large restaurant and a big reception area. It was quite busy, maybe because of its wellness center, but it was definitely a bustling place. We were in an annex building and had a spacious top floor room, up three flights of stairs, but worth it for the many skylights and roominess. We had a large king bed and a big modern space with a large and beautifully clean and shiny bathroom. Our biggest complaint was that the bed area was on a raised dais with two steps and no railing. At night this was a disadvantage when heading to the bathroom. Also, although the bathroom was very large, there was no stand or cabinet on which to set toiletries. Minor complaints.
Breakfast in the separate breakfast room the next morning was great - what ever one could want - meat, cheese, eggs, bread and pastries and the most delicious coffee machine which could produce any kind of coffee. Also the homemade yoghurt and fruit was quite special.
The hotel sits next to what they say is the oldest brewery in Chéchia. The reception area had a case os special and totally unusual gifts such as beer facial cream, beer shampoo, and a large array of such offerings. We would seek out Hotel Sladovna again for sure!

Very well managed hotel! Spacious rooms, high quality food, experienced staff, excellent wellness facilities. Worth second visit! We stayed in the hotel 3 days/2 nights and were really satisfied with all that this hotel was able to offer!

We have stayed in this hotel only for one night but were 100% satisfied, (next time we will stay more). Hotel rooms are spacious and very cozy equipped. Rooms are big, nice, and clean.
Hotel restaurant is very nice also, food is very good and the staffs are friendly. We have used hotel´s wellness and it was very pleasant place for relax.
Especially many thanks to Ms. Jana and Eva.
We will come back as soon as we get a chance.

After a bumpy start, we ended up being satisfied with our stay in this hotel. We booked this hotel because, according to the website (in both Czech and English) the family rooms were supposed to have free air conditioning in the summer. When we checked in, we discovered our family room didn't have a/c. When we inquired at reception, we were advised that there was an error on the website, as none of the family rooms have a/c. The hotel offered us a smaller room with a/c for our kids, while the adults stayed in the original room. Fortunately, it cooled down at night and we were able to open the windows and cool our room enough to sleep. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was good with many choices. We very much enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, and our kids loved the bowling.

We ordered a New Year's Eve 3-nights package in this hotel via spa.cz. The package included 3 nights with breakfast, a 3-course romantic dinner, a beer bath with two free beers, aroma massage, private whirpool with champagne, access to wellness centre with a pool, whirpool and different sauna, New Year's Eve celebration with 4-course dinner, live music and midnight drink and firework and some other small things. It was just a GREAT DEAL!
We love the hotel and its facilities so much so we decided to prolong our stay by one more night (for a reduced price as a part of the great deal package).
We got a large Superior attic room with double bed, sofa, TV, minibar (with reasonable prices), bathroom with walk-in shower, hair dryer and a lot of amenities (shampoo, shower gel, tissues, shower cap, a sewing kit etc.). You also find in the room bathrobes and slippers for going to spa.
Spa area is very nice too - a pool and whirpool at the ground floor and a sauna world (different types of sauna) and a resting area in the cellar. There are also beer bathes (you don't bath in beer but in beer cosmetics foam) and private whirpool which need to be pre-ordered. The access to saunas and pools is included in the accommodation price and you can come how many times you want during your stay.
Breakfast is ok, traditional continental.
Restaurant offers gourmet food. I loved especially the butterfish steak, really delicious! My boyfriend liked ostrich steak, but all the other dishes we tried were also very good.
Staff at the hotel reception and restaurant is very helpful and nice. Some of receptionists at the wellness centre could have been nicer and more welcoming guests.
You can also visit a brewery museum in the hotel cellar.
Summary of why I would visit this hotel again:
- a modern hotel with very comfortable rooms
- a very nice wellness centre - great relax!
- gourmet restaurant with delicious food
- nice staff
Some suggestions for improvements:
- information and instructions in sauna area shall be in English as well
- the beer bath shall be warmer - 32 degrees is not enough to lay in for 25 min (staff explained us that the brewery takes a hot water and therefore there is sometimes a lack of hot water in spa area, but that shall not happen!!)
- a tea kettle could be in rooms
- some receptionists at wellness centre could be nicer to guests and not looking annoyed if someone asks something

Hotel Sladovna is a very interesting hotel, thanks to its location and connection to beer brewery Černá hora. It's situated 25km from Brno, easily accessible by car.
The room we've been to was just wonderful; large bed, very nicely decorated, clean and neat. Their private wellness is splendid, with champagne and fruits as a bonus.
Hotel restaurant is nice, but there are too many decorations for my taste-more simple attitude towards decoration would be nice, but that's just a detail. The meals and wine were very nice. Bonus points for very friendly waitress Leona, she was wonderful and made our evening even more pleasant
I'd definitely recommend this hotel and restaurant :)

We booked this hotel and the beer spa treatment after reading great reviews. Unfortunately,we were left massively underwhelmed by the experience.
Check in was chaotic. We arrived early and asked to store our luggage while we went for a walk until our room was ready. We were left waiting for over 30 minutes while the receptionist checked out around 20 delegates. No apology was offered and we eventually accosted a passing waiter to help us.
The spa was in the vaults of the hotel and was very pleasant with dim lighting and comfortable beds (smell of wet dog aside). Small warning that it is a nudist spa,so come prepared! The pool was busy with dive bombing children, which was a shame. The beer bath experience was a fun way to spend 30 mins in peace. We opted to pay for our treatments at check out the next day rather than in the spa, and the staff member at the desk handled this minor request very badly. She frog marched us to the hotel reception (in our robes) to ensure that a note of the payment be made. Shocking customer service.
The bedroom was a twin and not the requested double. Clean and spacious but devoid of any character or warmth.
Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Dinner in the pub was uninspiring and dull. The wait staff, however, were lovely.
Would not return.

Booked this not knowing much about the place for our trip across Europe. 100% worth it, wish I had stayed longer! Everything from the staff to food and the wellness centre was fabulous.
The town doesn't offer too much, but if you have a car or looking for a peaceful getaway it's fine.

This hotel is very close the gate of the brewery. Interior of the hotel is nice and restaurant has two parts. The first is very modern restaurant with the perfect kitchen, the second one is in the outside with the domestic atmosfer and the beer from the brewery ČERNÁ HORA. You can go to visit this brewery. This beer is typical for this area with the perfect atmosphere for forming a beautiful place to the relax.
