Tom and Alice are excellent hosts, the facility is centrally located, very comfortable, clean, and nicely appointed. The breakfasts and pastries are delicious. We recommend staying here. We have stayed here twice now and this is now our go to place for overnight stays.

Stay here!!! The house is simply amazing (as are the innkeepers), well put together, historic (yet they have modern plumbing) with a piano player and all. The food at breakfast was the best I have ever had at a B&B (especially the quiche). Simply put - a beautiful place to stay - you won't be disappointed!

I was greeted immediately by one of innkeepers - Alice - upon arrival and felt as though I'd come home. This beautifully restored mansion is a true gem. Guest rooms are immaculate, decorated tastefully with appreciated modern touches. Guests are free to relax in the library, the parlor and the porch and snacks are available in the butler's pantry. It...

We are so happy that we stumbled upon the Oliver Inn when picking our wedding venues. Alice and Tom were so helpful and accommodating from the start. We had our ceremony in the little garden on the side of the home and we stayed in the Carriage House and the Rockne room the night before and after our wedding. They...

An extremely beautiful and accomplished b&b. One of the very best I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. It's two tree lined blocks from the "Dressing Downton" Costume Exhibition at the History Museum. Going to the exhibition then a dinner in South Bend (another short walk from b&b) would make a great over night stay. The breakfasts are superb....

Our hosts were most gracious and informative . Alice's breakfast was scrumptious. Beautiful, beautiful home!!! The history of the house is fascinating and the nearby tours were great. We took a walk downtown to the South Bend Chocoate Cafe for an evening snack and enjoyed the unique architecture of many buildings. Thank you!

This is a very beautiful, historic family mansion turned into a bed and breakfast. My room was gorgeous, comfortable with well furnished pieces. The hosts were very nice people and very helpful. The place is well located near the downtown and in a historic district next to Tippecanoe Place, a lavish historic restaurant. Across the street a bit is a...

The house is full of character, the hosts are charming & the location convenient - everything, & more, that we look for in a B & B. Our main reason for visiting South Bend was to visit the Studebaker museum. Not only is the Oliver Inn a short walk away, but it's also closely intertwined with South Bend's industrial history...

Beautiful historic home. Well maintained, nicely decorated and very clean. Beautiful grounds too. Plenty of space to sit and relax, both inside and outside. Alice and Tom are friendly and helpful, yet not intrusive. The breakfasts were gourmet and delicious, and flexible to accommodate our desire for meat-free and low carbs. They also promptly returned an item we left behind,...

Take it from me, we owned 2 vacation rentals. The cleanliness, sumptuous linens, great amenities (read chocolate!) and out of this world breakfasts go over and above the typical B&B experience. The 11,000 sq ft mansion has a lot of rooms to choose from all with private baths. Best place to stay in South Bend, Mishawaka.
