I stayed for 2 nights with my mom and sister. The hotel was so nice. Very clean, super nice staff, location perfect, good size room. Loved the outdoor space and places to sit and walk around. Breakfast also very good. Will definitely come back.
This place is fantastic. It is centrally located to almost everything. The rooms are always clean and neat. The staff is very friendly and willing to help in any way they can. The breakfast has a variety of items to choose from and is always good. The whole place is always very neat and clean. The decorations for Christmas are wonderful. We always try to stay there when in Shipshewana.
Stayed here before and will return. Staff is wonderful. Clean and safe. Love this place. Wanted someplace to eat that wasn’t a buffet and the girl at front desk suggested Rullis. Exactly what we were looking for.
The Hotel is very clean That said, customer serivce is not that great. We asked for some coffee for the machine in our room and was met with "Isn't there some in your room? We wanted to play cards and tried to find lounges with a table. The 2 large lounges on each end of the "West Wing" had only 1 table in each. The 1st we tried was already taken, so we went to the 2nd lounge on the other end and was able to use the 1 table there. We tried to play, however, there were no lights. After 2 calls to the front desk to ask if the lights could be turned on, and assurances that someone was coming to help, we never saw anyone nor did the lights ever come on. We left after over 30 minutes of waiting. The mattresses need replacing. Expected better for the $234.00 we spent for 3 of us.…
Can you say power outage??? That's how the day started so we weren't sure we would stay. They kept us informed of the status and offered a no charge cancelation. Power back on and great stay!! Thanks!!!
A severe thunderstorm hit this area (which is quite common) and the Farmstead Inn was totally unprepared. No generators and only some lanterns for select guests. We stumbled around in a totally dark room with no lights, no air-conditioning, and no water. We were awakened at 5:30am by fire alarms. There was no coffee or breakfast, which could have been brought in. Very poor service! We have requested a refund, but the manager will not return our call. Also, the furniture was very dated, you could not sit in the recliners, and the foyer floor was sticky and needed mopping. For $150/night we expect better than this. If we ever return, in the future we will stay at the Holiday Inn in Howe, Indiana.
I would like to thank the young lady from the kitchen that took the time to read a picture on the wall to me. I am legally blind and can see very blurry; however, the print was very light and I could nol stand close enough to try to make out the words. She also explained the differences between real Amish made quilts and imposters, why the discrepancy in price from quilt to quilt. All beatifully made. I wanred to touch the one made from 8000+ 1 inch squares but resisted the temptation. The room was comfortable, quiet, very clean and all staff extremely hospitable. Lovely area, we would go again but would like a map of the town shops because I'm unable to read the signs while listening to the horses.
Love to stay here, enjoyed the pool and hot tub (very hot) so very relaxing. The location is perfect to all attractions and shopping My only issue was the breakfast was cold and I,m not happy with cold scrambled eggs and sausage. I miss fresh fruit-no bananas or apples but will stay again
The room was reasonable, spacious, comfortable, neat, and clean. Breakfast is included with a wide variety of buffet-style self-serve food. The staff is professional, accommodating, and friendly. They made us feel right at home. Great location too! Adjacent to the huge seasonal flea market and all of the lovely shops in the Amish village. We will return again for a longer stay!
The location is excellent if you are going to the flea market. But it is way over priced. First, our room had no chair by the desk to work on laptop. Had to move s heavy recliner around, and move out a table with lamp on it. As far as the internet goes, 2 cans and a string would be almost as efficient. They used to have a very good breakfast, but now not so much. Food items that should have been hot were barely warm. Then we received an email saying for multiple night stays, no room will be cleaned in between. It's almost like they will milk the traveler for all they are worth. Look around for another hotel.
