Beautiful setting, very welcoming staff and delicious dining. I have to mention and specially thank the hospitality of Amanda, Gaston, Leticia, and the Chef, although everybody were very helpful. Cons: No a/c. Since I knew that before hand, I don't complain. Overall it is a wonderful place to stay. Tour recommendations: Lagoa Bonita, Santo Amaro and Guarás Sanctuary.
La Ferme’s Team was always very welcoming and super helpful providing great local recommendations for dining or tours in the Lençóis Park. Our favorite dishes for dinner where from their restaurant, always providing high quality and fresh produces.
Wonderful hotel!! The staff was already Nice, friendly and helpful. rooms were spacey with a hammock in front. Great pool with warm water. Restaurant offers delicious food!! The reception organizes every trip you want and they are always availability on WhatsApp. We would always come back!!
La Ferme de George’s… where do we start? The name sure sounds like a fancy French hotel. You would think being owned and managed by French people, that they would inherit some French hospitality and service! But is managed by Argentinians ….. The trip to Atins is really long, no matter where you’re coming from, even if you’re coming from Brazil or São Luis! After traveling for over 20 hours from the United States, you would expect the hotel to comfort you with a warm welcome and quick check in service, but instead they hold you up in the scorching hot open reception area to do a welcome lecture about the property for over 30 minutes! We chose to travel by private helicopter and because we did not organize it through them, they refused to arrange transfers from and to the helipad! We have local connections that wanted to invite us to do excursions with them and the hotel refused to at least organize our car transfers, so we had to do everything on our own, from organizing our dunes excursions to beach activities, cars, helicopters and everything else! Don’t get me wrong, Atins and Lençois are INCREDIBLE and are worth visiting no matter what. We had an incredible experience thanks to local friends of ours from maranhão who came along just to show us around as this hotel does not offer you any of these exclusive services or experiences.. we basically had to hire and outside personal concierge that took care of every detail of the trip (her name is Nadna. Everyone knows her there and we highly recommend her)! As far as the hotel itself.. let’s start with how expensive it is and how they take forever to reply to anything (pre booking and during the trip). They pride themselves on being “the best hotel in Atins. They are obviously delusional and have no clue what good service is! They actually warn you upon arrival that Atins is a small town and to expect everything to be slow! Haha.. The reality is that they are slow, not everywhere around Atins! Small things as simple as ordering coconut water takes 30-40 minutes to arrive warm! 🤯 The hotel ground is very pretty and has nice landscapes and pool but the rooms are simply disgusting… There’s a huge difference between ecological and DIRTY! They claim to be ecological which is great, but when you pride yourself to be the best, the least you can do is to provide clean rooms… but how can you have a clean room when the room is designed to with an open ceiling wood concept? You walk into the room and it’s INFESTED with mosquitoes, bugs and frogs! It’s IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of them because the bungalows are designed with gaps on the walls and ceiling, so they can come in easily! It was so hot and muggy inside the room and they obviously have no AC… again, they claim to be eco friendly but use heavy chemical inspects spray! They only give you one towel that they expect you to use the whole stay. Everything from the towels and bed linens were dirty and uncomfortable mattress and pillows! The worst thing that happened during the stay was our documents, money and medications being destroyed from the rain entering through the ceiling and the sides of the wall… we had our luggage and documents on the small bed and desk against the wall, so when we returned home our documents, medications money and all our clothes were soaking wet. We had to rush and pack to leave so when we arrived to our next destination, our clothes smelled like horrible musk and developed a bad odor from being wet in a closed suitcase! Bottom line, this hotel is terrible. Bad service, dirty and rude unprofessional staff! I would never go back there again, neither would I ever recommend it to anyone! They should be ashamed of themselves for being so unprofessional and for charging such high prices for these disgusting dirty rooms! FYI; I never write hotel reviews but I had to for this one because they almost ruined my entire trip and that’s UNACCEPTABLE!!…
Although the hotel is rustic and have no air conditioning, the staff made everything they could to make us feel welcome, and also they had the best tips for the tours and ride, and restaurants. Their natural plantation made the food excelent. they have a moto "everything will be alright" and seems it always does. It´s a very calm atmosphere to slow down, relax and enjoy the nature.
I was very excited looking at the lodge pictures as we were coming from Santo Amaro and had stayed at a very simple but comfortable lodge. The hotel design is indeed amazing and are true to the beautiful instagram pictures. But the experience is another story... The service is lacking for a hotel at this price level and the owners seem to have fallen into a Catch 22 of sustainability as an excuse for everything. The restaurant is average, trying to cook dishes that the local staff cannot cope with. They sell wine at R$400 but serve it at beer temperature and the waiter does not know the difference between white or red wine. Breakfast is very simple but you do have the option of ordering a tapioca, omelet which are ok but not the level you expect for a hotel at this price. The room is very nice looking but has no AC. This could work at most times during the year but the heat at night is unbearable since you have to sleep with mosquito nets (I counted 44 mosquito bites during my second night). We had our fair share of local fauna (mosquitoes, frogs, wasps and roaches) but that was not an issue for us. The pool is excellent but we stayed there during 3 days and at no single time we were offered any drinks, snacks or anything at all. If you want something you have to walk to the restaurant and ask for it yourself. It seems like the staff in nonchalant about the guests. Again, I understand using local staff, but at this level of price, this is unacceptable. The concierge was professional regarding the day trips although there was a mix up regarding a scheduled event that they were advised a week earlier. Not a big deal though. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is good, but not at these rates. They seriously need to improve their service level if they want to be recognized as a world class hotel (or they can always use the ecolodge sustainability excuse as long as there ir no competition)…
If you are thinking of staying uncomfortable, this is the place. Intense HEAT without refrigeration in the rooms, windows without blackout, breakfast like that of a low-class inn. Sustainability and concern for the environment serve as a background to justify the terrible quality
Liked · Everything 👌👌👌 Amazing place! Location, staff, hospitality, food, activities... Wow!!!! Tree chalet - huge, panoramic view 👌 Great experience! Thank you!!! I recommend this place to all couples and people who are open to NEW EXPERIENCES
This place is awesome, with a very friendly atmosphere. All meals are amazing but diners are special. Room is big and ready to receive your family in a very comfortable way. I very recommend The National park is incredible place to visit and get memories for your life.
After an hour and a half boat ride to the edge of a desert, it only makes sense that this beautiful posada is a mix of rustic and chic! It is nestled right at the edge of the magical Lencois desert with options for any level of adventure. You may find a frog in your toilet or a chicken waking you in the morning, but the place still feels like luxury. The restaurant is fantastic, the rooms are beautiful, and the staff are incredibly helpful. La Ferme is at its core an authentic experience.
