Exceptional service ..amazing property We visited Chena huts for the second timefor 2 nights. This is our new favorite place in srilanka . Staff was amazing from front office -kanth who handled the reservation. Bar and f&b staff was exceptional with customer handling and drinks. Rangers jayaba and praneeth was amazing with handling our requests throughout the safaris. Gm -Trevis exceptional with his leadership skills and customer handling. He visited each guest each day and make sure that the guests are having a good time. F&b manager kusal - if some one wants to learn customer service he is the perfect example. All in all this is a paradise property taken care by exceptional staff. Advise to management - food potion size should be increased and the variety of menu should improve.

Simply everything was exceptional ❤ From the booking to the checking out process, the service was outstanding. Thank you so much for everything. Special thanks to Haleem, Jayalath, Kasun, Nishu and the Chef . The food was really beautiful and delicious, just to the Sri Lankan taste. The accommodation was excellent with spacious and luxury cabins. The place is amazing and so relaxing. Again thank you so much for the exceptional experience ❤❤❤

What an amazing experience! Beautiful views, luxurious accommodation and smiles everywhere. From the time we made our reservation, Zara at front desk, Kusal, Shereen,Thamal and Chamara (F&B), Lasith (bar-with fabulous cocktails) took great care of us. Huge shout-out to inhouse wildlife guide extraordinaire-Janith, who worked so hard to give us a glimpse of the elusive Leopard, we were blessed with 3 sightings! Unfortunately on our last night,a member of our party had small medical emergency. The staff was so very caring and concerned about our wellbeing, which made us feel as if we are with family. Thank you all everything, good bye until next time 😊

One of our best hotel experiences ever. Beautiful, spacious and tastefully decorated huts. First rate service and gourmet food and drinks. The safari experience was amazing and the guide was knowledgable and interested in our questions. Kids loved the stay as well. We want to go back!!

This is an amazing hotel, as all the previous reviews has stated. However, a few issues need to be adressed for price and quality to align. Location, safari experience, the huts and especially the food is all 5 Stars. Special compliments to the chef who went out of his way to prepare anything we asked for. The “almost” part: The staf is trying the best to be as attentive as possible however this create a slightly confusing and chaotic experience. During meals, you will often encounter 4,5 or 6 waiters, all wanting to serve you to the best of their abilities. The result is often almost funny. The water will be repoured instantly, you will be asked how you are doing repeatedly. These interruptions are clearly based on a wish to provide service however the resulting experience, for us, seemed a bit chaotic and tended to interrupt our conversations. This is of course exaggerated due to the few visitors at the moment but i would suggest management to designate one or two waiters pr table to enhance the experience.

We had the most Amazing stay at the chena huts for our honeymoon. We were blown away by all of the grounds but the room itself was the most impressive room we have ever stayed in. With your own pool and view of the ocean it was a unforgettable stay. All of the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the most relaxing and comfortable stay - the staff really deserve the upmost credit. We want to give a special mention to cocktail maker Lasintha, we have never met someone who is so knowledge with alcohol and cocktails and really enjoyed speaking to him and learning from him, and of course we very much enjoyed the cocktails he made! We were there for 2 nights - we did one early morning safari and were lucky enough to spot 2 lepoards! Snacks and cold drinks were provided aswell. We unfortunatly didn't get the name of the guide but he was amazing and we were so impressed by the skills he used to track the animals, he was really passionate about his job and was happy to answer any questions. The sun down at night was the most beautiful setting, we enjoyed tapas and prosecco by the ocean, this is one of my personal favourite parts of the whole trip we have had in Sri Lanka. We would recommend the chena huts to anyone, it was 100% worth the cost. The only thing I could say is that we probably wouldn't stay any longer than 3 nights. Thank you so much to all of the team for making this a stay we will never forget

We visited this beautiful small hotel in July with our 2 children (aged 20 and 22) and stayed 3 nights. The day we landed the FCO advised against travel to Sri Lanka but we had a very easy and uneventful journey to Chena Huts. We felt very safe and cocooned there and unless you read the news you wouldn’t know there were any troubles . We went on 5 game drives which were fantastic and the highlight of our stay. Our safari guide Yanny ( apologies for spelling) was so knowledgeable about all the amazing wildlife we saw and so good at spotting leopard hidden in the bushes that we saw them every day . We were also lucky enough to see elephants, crocodiles, sloth bear, monkeys, jackal, mongoose, painted stork ( I think) in their nests with young chicks and lots of other colourful birds whose names I have forgotten! Our room was huge and gorgeous with a Nespresso machine and fully stocked mini bar . But you could also have any drinks delivered to your room - I had the best pina coladas whilst sunbathing by our plunge pool. The food was delicious and you definitely won’t go hungry if you stay there ! The location of the hotel is perfect - on the beach and in the buffer zone for Yala - beach and safari! You can’t swim in the sea as it’s very rough but it was lovely just watching the crashing waves as the sun went down . All the staff were so lovely including Zara ( again apologies for spelling) who hit exactly the right balance between professional courtesy and friendliness . We are already planning our next trip we loved it so much.

Stay in your own "hut" with its own private pool close to the sea and 10 minutes' drive from Yala National Park. Wonderful service - my guide was really good and knew how to avoid all the other jeeps which can make the Yala experience so disappointing. Food pretty good for an All Inclusive package.

The entrance alone Tells you the ambience and service you are about to receive. Classy treatment, Jungle crisp clean chic decor . ( your own hut , humongous bed, huge soak tube, huge shower, your own pool, by the sea.. I mean what else can a girl ask for?? better food.. lol.. I would say after visiting Ceylon Tea trails then to chena huts the food was a big different . This is my #2 most fav in Sri Lanka .. The food bland hotel flavors. but back to my own hut and pool.. I will revisit for this reason. Yala national park was also a waste of my time (regular animals if you happen yo spot bird or 2) maybe after seeing, feeding and bathing suit exotic, extinct , over 300 lbs animals this park was not for me . But please visit for the hut experience and blow your mind away to the details inside.
