We just returned from a visit to Earlham College and were lucky enough to have found this wonderful guest house. Cheryl met us on arrival and showed us around our apartment. She has three different size accommodations in her house. We stayed in the largest which includes a living room (with TV, DVD & selection of videos, Wi-Fi), kitchen with large table (seats for at least 8) and because there were only two of us, our choice of one of three bedrooms upstairs in which to stay. Cheryl stocks the kitchen with basic cooking supplies (oil, seasonings, foils, wraps, etc.) as well as breakfast foods (cereal, oatmeal, bananas, juice, tea, coffee, milk), pizza for snacking, ice cream and other snack food! All of this is included in the very reasonable room rates. The house was clean, quiet, in a nice neighborhood only a few blocks from Earlham and across from a playground and school. It is truly the perfect place to stay if you want flexibility, more space than a B&B or hotel room, the option of cooking without having to buy all the basic supplies, a home away from home. There is even a washer and dryer to use. Cheryl was also lovely and extraordinarily helpful. If our daughter goes to Earlham, we will most certainly make reservations to cover the next four years.

Went to the 2012 Super Bowl and stayed at the Westside Guest House. It was about an hour directly east of Indianapolis. This is not really a hotel but a wonderful 3 bedroom house on a very quite street. I cannot really comment on the location because we only stayed two nights and spent most of the time in Indianapolis for the Super Bowl. What I can say it is a wonderful place to stay for a family or two or three couples or families.

The house was very clean, the bedrooms very comfortable and each bedroom had a desk if you need it. The master had a side sitting area, another bedroom had a couch. The third bedroom had 2 twin beds. The kitchen was well stocked and equipped with all the appliances pots pans and dishes you may need if you want to cook. They supplied coffee with a Keurig machine and the pods and other food staples like milk, butter, cereal and so on. It had a washer & dryer, dishwasher, a flat screen TV, a DVD player and free wireless internet.

I'm not a big world traveler but I have been to many places and I can say this I never felt more at home than I did at the Westside Guest House and that includes a two night stay in Pebble Beach. Thinking of going to The Indianapolis 500 some day, if I do I will definitely stay here.

My wife and i were very happy with our recent stay at The Westside Guest House. It was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and stocked with plenty of coffee, tea, juice, snacks and fruit for our stay. There is even a kitchen with stove, oven, fridge and microwave, and our car was garaged overnight. Best of all, it was blocks from our daughter's residence on the campus of Earlham College. We look forward to our next visit and hope to stay longer.

What a wonderful place. The owner met me there and showed me all around the house and gave me directions to the grocery store. It was a quiet neighborhood with large shade trees. The house was beautifully decorated complete with soft robes to use. Being able to have a complete kitchen to fix my supper and breakfast was perfect, along with the Keurig to make coffee. I would recommend staying here to everyone.

The home is well appointed for a wonderful home-like atmosphere in a quiet community. The three bedrooms are most comfortable and the entire home is available for your use. It is clean, well lit, and has all the things you might need. Fresh fruit, breakfast foods, drinks, teas, coffees, dishes and a complete kitchen. The owners welcome you to use everything. The laundry facility has washer and dryer plus ironing board and iron. The furniture is comfortable and I was happy to be able to invite friends in. The location is within an easy walk to Earlham College, grocery, downtown and parks. The neighborhood is safe and filled with happy people going about their lives. I watched the neighbor children ride their bikes, have a parade and easily go from park to home. The owners are very hospitable leaving you a great deal of privacy and making sure you have everything you need.

My friend and I came to Richmond for a volleyball reunion at Earlham. He made the reservation and we were delighted with both the service and the rooms. Before we ever arrived Cheryl, our hostess, had made arrangements to have some simple food available for us, noting our preferences. She met us when we got there, gave us a tour, asked us if we needed anything and then left us to our lovely apartment style rooms. The rooms were not only clean, but luxurious, stocked with personal care items, bathrobes, a heated bed (my favorite), food, drink, books, information about local sites, events, cable tv, internet access, kitchen, living room, big bathroom, bedroom, large closet, etc. It was so comfortable and pleasant we felt right at home. We were able to park the car in a garage that entered into the apartment which made unloading it much easier and warmer as the weather was cold and wet. We were undisturbed, everything worked, everything was comfortable, the furniture was very nice, and in the morning, Cheryl went so far as to lead us to a restaurant we were looking for as the directions were difficult due to road construction. It was a memorable experience and we will definitely stay there again. As a matter of fact, I fantasized about how nice it would be to live in that lovely, little apartment, it was that nice. And I didn't even mention the really cool 50's style kitchenette.

Thanks so much for such a lovely, touching review! It was a pleasure to meet both of you, and we're very glad you enjoyed our guest house. I have to confess that the heated mattress pads are one of my favorite things, too -- which is why we have them there. And helping you find Clara's Pizza King was my pleasure -- it's one of Richmond's most unique dining experiences. I look forward to seeing you when you come again -- and I'll be sure to have some soy milk in the cabinet for you.

We just spent 2 months at one of the nicest places in the Wayne County area. We stayed in the “Morning Sunrise” Suite and it was great. A soft and relaxing king size bed coupled with the quiet location of the residence made for the best sleep anyone could ask for. And the hosts were magnificent. Hats off to Cheryl and Mickey who provided us with everything you could ask for. And homegrown tomatoes from Mickey,s garden were a real treat. The accommodations were very, very clean! And right across the street from a lovely park you can’t ask for anything better. We highly recommend anyone coming to the Richmond area to consider staying here.

Looking for a place to stay to bring back our grandson to his parents in St Louis from Pittsburgh. This was so much more perfect than a hotel room.
The kitchenette was adorable. The fridge had milk and juice. The cupboards had cereal and snacks. The owner brought us a frozen pizza for dinner. If you forgot something like a toothbrush, it was there in the bathroom.
I left my phone charger there. I received it in the mail today. Couldn’t ask for more.

Stayed here for two months while relocating to Richmond, the accommodations were spacious, the hospitality even better, and the location topped it all off. Only two blocks from Earlham College and an easy walk to Downtown Richmond, Depot Town and the historic district. Cheryl, the owner was fantastic and a very good host. Her attention to detail and the friendly and welcoming atmosphere made my stay a pleasure. I will certainly visit again when I need lodging in Richmond.

We rode our bikes down from Muncie on the Cardinal Greenway Trail, and could not have found a better spot. It was just over a mile from the trailhead, and an easy ride.

When we arrived, we found a charming apartment with a separate entrance, quiet, and extremely clean! That might be the cleanest bathroom I've ever seen! The hear worked well, there was tv, and a full kitchen. What's more, Cheryl provided some frozen entrees that we had for dinner and it was perfect. There's a VP two blocks away, and there are several pizza places nearby. We were on foot, so didn't want to go too far.

I have to say that the apartment itself was charming. It was early 60s design decoration, and everything was vintage (except appliances, of course!) and was in great condition. For a walk down memory and just to enjoy the décor, it was a treat.

It is right across the street from a park and Earlham College, so would be perfect for visitors there.

I can only say good things and hope to go back
