If you like to camp amongst the fine aroma of the adjacent sanitary station and perma-campers this is the place for you! If you like traveling through sketchy neighborhoods and getting that out-of-place feeling as you camp at this 'campground' this place is ideal. This is unlike any Yogi Bear campground we have been to. Between the people that LIVE... More

Used this campground to be able to start early when visiting Chicago. Let's start with the good: there's power, water and a sewage connection. The showers were hot and clean. From here on it will get more negative. A lot of places in this park are occupied by permanent or semi-permanent vehicles or buildings. There's no separate section for single... More

We have stayed at several Yogi's in several states, this was by FAR the WORST experience! Yogi Bear should pull their affiliation! As you pull in, you are greeted with a security guard shack, why you may wonder...its not because its an elaborate gated community! The roads are narrow, and awful. There are over 900 sites, most of which are... More

We stayed here 8 years ago and decided to return as it was on our travel route. This place has really gone to the dogs. Literally, dogs barking all the time. It seems most people live here full time and don't care about keeping the sites clean. Trash everywhere. Evidently there are no park enforced rules about keeping your site... More

I am a huge review person so I read all the reviews before going here in July 2015. I was not sure what to expect because all of the bad reviews. There are a lot of trailers/mobile homes there I guess because people live there during summer or all year. I was only there a few days so I was... More

We were very disappointed when we pulled up to this park. It is filled w/ modular homes & old campers obviously used as permanent homes, complete w/ decks built around them. The streets are way too narrow for a campground. We were initially given a site that was not big enough for our 38' travel trailer, which we figured out... More

We stayed here June 23-28 2015.The first thing you see is all the ran down some abandoned trailers and campers. The store is clean and kept up but that is about it.You will be put right beside the permanent campers which is fun. During our third day there the camper next to us the lady was screaming thru the whole... More

After a long day of driving we were approaching the Chicago area and decided avoid that traffic until morning.  We located a Yogi Bear Jellystone Park in Portage, Indiana, on our smart phone and drove to it.  We checked in June 24. 2015, for one night. The person checking us in was pleasant and we found the assigned site.  It... More

This camp-resort served its purpose by providing a location relatively close to Chicago. Other than that it was a lousy experience. I-94 was a short stones throw away from the back of our site and a train track was a couple of hundred yards in front. Not a peaceful setting. Bring ear plugs and alcohol if you plan to stay...
