The hotel is very comfortable with clean spacious rooms, has indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool is open in the winter season. Our room was just beside the indoor pool and it was very convenient to go to the pool and than take a bath in our room. However, even if your room is in the upper floors the shower rooms of the pool provide you with all the conveniences ( very clean towel, shower gel, hairdryer) and what was a pleasant surprise for me is that the floor in the shower room was always dry, there was almost no water on the floors although many guests use the pool. The hotel has an amazing view of the Mount Ararat and very tidy landscaped green surrounding area, but the best part of this hotel for me was the food. It was very tasty and abundant with variety. So far the best food I have ever tried in Armenian hotels. On the week-ends they even have live music that is not disturbing and very pleasant for ear.

I was in Amberd with my friend and we really enjoyed the location and hotel. But I have been in many countries and this is the first place that coffee in is for extra charge during breakfast. How come? This is weird. They have pizza for breakfast but no coffee. Also the noise of elevator is awful. Just ask for a room which is far from the elevator. we could not sleep untill 01:00 and woke up 06:30 because of it. They can just turn off that voice. Hatsatun cafe is very nice place with live music. Best part of our vacation.

This was a great place to visit with family. They had very tasty kitchen. Great breakfast. Pool was nice. Even if the weather is bad there is always indoor pool.
Special thanks to Gohar or organising all details of our stay which makes great stay.

I recommend to visit there at least for 3 days to make sure you enjoy all the facilities.

Definetly not coming back.
As Indians our experience in Armenia has been mixed some very good and some like the one below has been not so good.
We booked the hotel for a day and extended it one more day since it is close to Mount Aragats.
It also happened to be their 6th anniversary. The receptionist informed us that the dinner is complimentary from the hotel due to the anniversary.
When we arrived at the dining hall, we were seated by the staff and dinner was served. Midway through our dinner their manager walked to our table and informed that we will have to move to some other room as this table is reserved for guests who had paid for the dinner. It came as a shock. We told him that his staff had invited us and also seated us. He said they might have made a mistake and we can have dinner in the other room. He said don't worry its free go to the other room. It was Racist and humiliating. We lost our hunger after this experience and decided to go to our room.
After an hour they sent some food to the room which we sent back. Then we received a call from the reception that our next day stay is complimentary on behalf of the hotel, we refused. When we checked out today they tried to pay us our booking amount, we did not take it either.
You can't just go about insulting people and offer them money to ignore it.
We dont know if the management will even care to read it, if they do they should train their staff and teach them how to respect guests.
We are definetly not coming back again.

The most terrible place ever. The stuff is rude, the rooms are dirty, as well as the restaurant. Besides for the late check out they demand additional 10,000 AMD. We were told that we can leave at 6-7 pm if we choose standard room, but then it turned out that we had to leave at 4pm the latest. Besides, we ordered some stuff to have dinner, our dinner were brought to another customer by mistake, and instead to apologize the waitress started to act rude with us telling that if she accepts her fault it won’t change anything.

Disrespectful manager-receptionist. When complaining about the fact that sauna was cold, for which we had come from 100km away specifically for the sauna, she did not apologise and was very indifferent. Plus, the dinner that was included in the price, was not freshly made.

We had a 1-day training in this hotel and I should say the hotel is definitely not ideal for holding such meetings/workshops. The conference room is quite dark and the coffee break the hotel offers is quite poor: they offered us one small coffee machine that takes years to prepare a cup of coffee per person. So we had to stand in long queues to take the coffee, which forced us to postpone the overall start of the training and we ended up with long breaks. In a word, I don't think the quality of the service is in line with the money they charge.

I took there a delegation of international experts and I should say, I was left ashamed by the service we were provided. The ignorance, indifference, impoliteness and unfriendliness was so disappointing that I will never again visit them. Food was super disgusting, I found a rubber band in it, pointed to the manager, she simply took the rubber band away and did not even apologize. In most places in Armenia that service is perfect, Amberd was a huge kick in the back. I recommend the owner to fully change the stuff.

Don’t know about the hotel, but the restaurant has awful service. The waiters are too lazy to work. First, noone approached us when we entered. Then the waitress we asked to find us a table disappeared without a return. Finally, another guy approached with a rude attitude saying it’s late, when the restaurant was closing in 1:30 hours. They were lazy to clean the used tables, offering us to sit at the inside tables.
Disappointed. Definitely not coming back.

Called and asked for 1 room with 2 single beds. Was asked if the other person was also male. Was told that 2 males cannot stay together as per hotel policy. Asked for 2 separate rooms, but was told that nothing was available. Wanted to go there to get out of the city and work on a project, nothing more. They just presumed were gay.

If they are so moral, do they also ask for the marriage certificates of the heterosexual couples that they obviously favor?
