Stayed at Pepin Mansion Historic Bed and Breakfast on the way back to Florida from a trip to Chicago. Travel was limited because of restrictions from coronavirus, but we couldn't have picked a better place to spend the night. When we arrived a little after 6pm, the owners had coordinated to leave our key in an envelope and entry into the beautiful downstairs wasn't an issue and we found our room on the second floor easily. Downstairs is arranged more as wedding venue (and would be very beautiful for a small wedding and reception), but there is a large sitting room on the second floor for the guests. We didn't use that as our room was large with a very high ceiling and had a comfortable seating area. We found a wonderful restaurant offering a to-go meal that included a old fashioned kit for 8 people and bottle of wine that lasted us for a couple of days and we enjoyed the meal back in our room. The next morning coffee was ready downstairs before breakfast and we relaxed a bit before an 8:30 breakfast that seriously was one of the best we've had at any inn we've ever stayed at. The fruit, yogurt and homemade granola, eggs florentine, and French toast were all delicious. Although we couldn't really enjoy New Albany because of the closures, it is obvious that the town is a great place to spend a couple of days and nights when things return to normal. And you couldn't find a better place to stay than at the Pepin Mansion. Can't recommend it highly enough for those who want to get slightly off the beaten track of I-65.

My overnight stay was not for pleasure, as I had an ill family member and was a last minute booking. Brian and Mary were very understanding and accommodating to my needs. Suite 2 was a perfect location with windows on two sides and quiet at night even though it faced the street. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was generous and coffee was available early in the morning. The outside grounds were very nice

Elegant, refined, gorgeous, and a step back in time to a more peaceful and beautiful time. This home was built in 1851 and is in much better condition than 10 and 20 year old homes. It was built by skilled craftsmen who worked building elegant and ostentatious riverboats in New Albany during that period. The craftsmanship will wow you. There are only 4 suites carved into the old mansion. I HIGHLY recommend booking on their website as it contains some important details. For example, one of the suites does not have an attached bath. The occupant must descend a flight of stairs to reach his bathroom. During our stay, the innkeeper, Sharon, was a delightful hostess and, as a bonus, is a trained chef. The breakfasts were as delicious and elegantly prepared as you would find at the finest restaurants. We had a delightful 5 night stay and we can’t wait to return.

What an elegant old place. I’ve stayed here before and I keep coming back. The suites are spacious, very comfortable, and period appointed. Lots of attention to detail and beauty here. The breakfast served was exquisitely prepared and elegantly served on fine china and in crystal classes around a large, gorgeous antique dining set. It was fit for a king. The innkeepers are so very kind and accommodating, and possess personality plus. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. This is a very special place.

Want to experience Old European elegance in a Midwest B&B? The Pepin Mansion is absolutely the place to stay. The 170 year old edifice has four large suites, offers a superb breakfast, free off-curb parking and the gracious hospitality of Innkeepers Brian & Mary. The ambiance of European royalty near Louisville. Definitely on our must-stay list.

Amazing B&B! The innkeepers ensure that you have the best trip imaginable by providing an amazing breakfast, recommendations on local food/activities, and delightful company. The location is unbeatable, you’re very close to Louisville but also able to enjoy the surprisingly charming city of New Albany. I couldn’t recommend this stay more!

Brian and Mary were exceptional hosts. We have stayed at a variety of bed and breakfasts and we would rank them top among hosts. They were friendly, kind and personable. I have dietary restrictions and Brain made excellent breakfasts (in fact went above and beyond) to meet my needs. Mary is the baker of the house and her muffins were super moist and her scones were to die for!
The mansion was very clean and was like a step back into history. There are places to sit and rest in the room but also the huge front porch and shaded backyard.
It is located in a beautiful historic neighborhood with plenty to do within walking distance. It has easy access to great dining for foodies as well (note that Brain was great as providing recommendations).
We definitely plan to go back!

Very elegant restored mansion. Our room was very large and comfortable. There was a bridal shower occurring upon our arrival, but Brian was very accommodating getting us checked in and to our room. He promised us a tour in the morning and didn't disappoint. Mary and Brian served us a delicious breakfast in the morning, we enjoyed our conversation with our fellow house guests... I definitely recommend Pepin Mansion.

Great people, clean and tidy room, the area all around the mansion is great for walking, running and reading plaques of other mansions and historical sites as you walk along. Vibrant area with many small shops and restaurants. Close to the river, bike/walking trail. Nice and quiet for a great nights sleep. Comfortable beds. They have both a Tesla specific charger and a standard electric car charger. 10W on the Tesla Charger same as the one I have at home. Full charge in under 8 hours. Breakfast was fantastic. I travel to this region once a year and will continue to stay here.

We were passing through and this B&B was one of our stops. So glad we did! Wonderful accommodations, comfortable room, delicious breakfast. Brian and Mary were both very enjoyable. Although at time of visit the first floor was set up for a wedding, there was a second floor siting room and wonderful outdoor space on the porch which we took advantage of.
