Elegant, refined, gorgeous, and a step back in time to a more peaceful and beautiful time. This home was built in 1851 and is in much better condition than 10 and 20 year old homes. It was built by skilled craftsmen who worked building elegant and ostentatious riverboats in New Albany during that period. The craftsmanship will wow you. There are only 4 suites carved into the old mansion. I HIGHLY recommend booking on their website as it contains some important details. For example, one of the suites does not have an attached bath. The occupant must descend a flight of stairs to reach his bathroom. During our stay, the innkeeper, Sharon, was a delightful hostess and, as a bonus, is a trained chef. The breakfasts were as delicious and elegantly prepared as you would find at the finest restaurants. We had a delightful 5 night stay and we can’t wait to return.…
The amenities and room were spotless. The hosts were great! They know all about the history of New Albany. I could tell they go above and beyond to provide awesome customer service. The food was delicious! Thank you all! I will be back!
We own a resort in MN and we spend a fair amount of every year travelling. We are always looking for a unique place to stay. We find this helps us connect with different areas of the country. By pure luck, we found this jewel on the banks of the Ohio River in New Albany, IN. Trust me, this is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. Why? First, your hosts Brian and Mary are THE BEST. Knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and very competent, they are simply great. Second, the mansion is super. It has been meticulously restored and scrupulously maintained. The breakfast was excellent, way above the norm. The rooms are comfortable and authentic, they even have some modern amenities. If you want to step back in time and have a wonderful experience. We HIGHLY recommend the Pepin Mansion in New Albany.…
Our stay at the Pepin Mansion was wonderful. It is such a beautiful old home. Brian and Mary are wonderful innkeepers! They are so friendly and made us feel right at home. The breakfast they served was very delicious. It was fresh, all homemade items. They even had homemade muffins and cookies for the guests. Such a pleasure!
Amazing B&B! The innkeepers ensure that you have the best trip imaginable by providing an amazing breakfast, recommendations on local food/activities, and delightful company. The location is unbeatable, you’re very close to Louisville but also able to enjoy the surprisingly charming city of New Albany. I couldn’t recommend this stay more!
This is a beautiful house to stay in, and the hosts are very nice but be prepared to hear everything your neighbors say and do if you are in the Culbertson suite. Our thoughtful neighbors decided to go to sleep with their TV blasting, so I got an education on World War 2 until 1:30AM, which was truly relaxing. In the morning things got even better when I awoke to the sound of loud traffic going past on the street outside. In conclusion, I sadly won’t be returning here. If you decide to stay here I strongly recommend a different suite.
Very elegant restored mansion. Our room was very large and comfortable. There was a bridal shower occurring upon our arrival, but Brian was very accommodating getting us checked in and to our room. He promised us a tour in the morning and didn't disappoint. Mary and Brian served us a delicious breakfast in the morning, we enjoyed our conversation with our fellow house guests... I definitely recommend Pepin Mansion.
We just spent five wonderful nights at the Pepin. It was our second stay here, and once again everything was perfect. It is located within walking distance of the best restaurants, shops and historical sites in New Albany, and just a very short walk down to the Ohio and the great River Trail. Brian and Mary are great hosts and they served a great, different breakfast each morning.
We were passing through and this B&B was one of our stops. So glad we did! Wonderful accommodations, comfortable room, delicious breakfast. Brian and Mary were both very enjoyable. Although at time of visit the first floor was set up for a wedding, there was a second floor siting room and wonderful outdoor space on the porch which we took advantage of.
My overnight stay was not for pleasure, as I had an ill family member and was a last minute booking. Brian and Mary were very understanding and accommodating to my needs. Suite 2 was a perfect location with windows on two sides and quiet at night even though it faced the street. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was generous and coffee was available early in the morning. The outside grounds were very nice
