We found everything about this place to be top class. We stayed in the African bungalow which had its own hot tub on the private balcony and a wood fire place for the cooler months. Apéritives were served at 7pm and all the guests (there were a total of 9 when we were there) sat around an open fire chatting together (all in French!) before retiring to the small dining room where we had a delicious home style 3 course meal served by Franck and Nathalie the owners. Highly recommend this charming getaway.

Where to start? Probably with the best: the owners. Natalie and Franck are really an awesome couple!! They would happily tore themselves apart to make sure you have the best possible stay. They made and make everything perfect for their guests, from the bungalows, to the food (delicious marriage between local products and French cuisine!!!). Everything is so well taken care of, the bungalows, the garden, the dinner room, as well as the Jacuzzi are super clean. Well, I could just have said 'everything' is delightfully clean. Don't miss the aperitif before dinner - it is a nice way to share a drink with the owners and the other guests. Everyone share their experience, a bit of their stories, holidays plans around drinks and canapes offered by Natalie and Franck. Remember it's a lodge and they welcome you at their place. They really like to get to know their guests although there is no obligation. You would be silly to miss it, that's all! The dinner itself is prepared on the day by the hosts and served by them - they are not delegating to others while resting, no, they are working hard to please you and your taste buds. Entree, main and deserts are all so delicious! The wine and Champagne are very affordable as well as the rest of the drinks. There is a treatment room where Franck can either give you a massage or put you under a flashing lamp for a moment of deep relaxation (just ask what it is and go for it, it's a unique experience and it's definitely worth it!). Breakfasts includes baguette, pains au chocolat and croissants, fresh home-made juice, French bakeries, homemade honey/jams (different ones every day), tea/coffee/chocolate milk. It is very well presented and if it's sunny, you have it on the deck with a magnificent view over the Parc des Grandes Fougeres. Ignore the bad reviews this place had at the beginning, they are a complete lie from people who are obviously disrespectful travelers and who think they can do anything when they are not at home. The "rules" are more general guidelines on how to use all the facilities and if you are like us, you'll have no difficulty fitting perfectly into the atmosphere and the environment - without even having to think about it! In short: Don't miss it! Go there, sit back, relax and enjoy!

Hidden in the beautifully green Caledonian countryside is this magical retreat where peace and quiet reign. Wonderfully arranged and individually themed wooden lodges with private spa pools await. The hosts are professional and discreet, and the home-made produce and food are simply scrumptious. Do not miss this moment of luxury.

Tucked away down a small road is a warm welcome to a well-designed and beautifully thought out bush haven. It was the highlight of our week in New Caledonia. Private Spa pool and a wood fire added to the luxury. Great value.
