We came here as 4 families together to celebrate the 70th Birthday of my mum and aunt. 3 families stayed in the cottages (we preferred more privacy and being together in the evening without all other people around us) and one family stayed in the hotel. The family staying in the hotel had a problem with a leaking window. The cottages were clean and had basic equipment to be able to cook (no coffee machine, but didn't bother me as I don't drink any coffee). We were unlucky with the weather, the first part of the week rained a lot so we joined the animation program and here I would like to highlight the 2 animators David and Anicka, who really did their maximum best to accommodate all the wishes from 7 year old to 75 year old. This animation program under their guidance was a top and definitely 5 star if not more. Problem was that at the 3 day of our stay a 100 people have arrived for a congress and this was not very well done by the hotel. Seems like that the manager or whoever was responsible for the congress forgot that some of the meeting were booked in the animation rooms so David and Anicka had to often look for alternative program. We as adults adjust easily but explain it to a 7 year old that was looking forward to a special activity. Kristina at the reception was also a great help, always smiling and willing to answer any questions (she definitely shows enough professionalism for a 4 star hotel). We ate twice at the bar close to the reception and were served by Sasa and she was also always available and very fast with our request which can't not be really said about some of her young colleagues, but who knows maybe it will get better in the future. If it rains and you have to stay in then there are several options to do, but let me say that we found them all quite expensive. The only activity used a lot was a bowling, many other activities were hardly booked and that would for sure get better if the prices were lower. Inside swimming pool in 80 CZK/hour (Adult) and is extremely small and needs serious remake. If you are there with 10 people it is too much. Outside pool was much better and would be nice if it is open more often, some people like to swim even if its cloudy and 20 degrees. Tennis court and volleyball court were always empty, who would be surprised if you would be charged 220 CZK/ hour to play volleyball. We went to the wellness and that was really great, clean, neat, professional attendance and very nice environment, we highly recommend it. My aunt and I took a massage and also that was a top service, highly recommended. Walk to the ruins Oheb is 5km and offers a nice view and walk to the nearby lake is 5 minutes and you can nicely swim there in the summer for free :-)

We spent a short time at the hotel and were very pleased with everything. We will be back next year for a longer stay. They think about children and their entertainment. There is beautiful nature around the hotel, the facilities and the food were great.

I stayed with a friend at Hotel Jezerka. Staff, rooms and wellness area were great! There is also possibility to reach the nearby lake (10 min by walk). External and internal pools available and many more activities. The only down is the bed, not comfortable.

In a slightly different way though... having studied the hotel's website, having read all those nice reviews here, I was really hopeful to relax and revitalize while traveling castle to castle throughout beautiful Czechia after a months-long work sprint, and from all what I had been told this place seemed to be a perfect choice. Well, it turned out not quite as expected. First of all, by claiming to be a four-star hotel they are not just overstating but simply lying to potential customers, for there are no services - neither at their substance nor level - that distinguish a four-star hotel. Of course, why keep a housekeeper on duty during the day? - guests can walk all the way to the reception to pick up whatever they need be it an iron (I would not dare to iron my clothes with it if I were you - see the photo) or a shaving kit (not free - costs $1). And why would one need an ironing board, right? Laundry service? Too much to ask. Go to Brno or Prague to wash your clothes. Room service? Why in the world? - there is a restaurant on site, who needs food brought to the room? To complete this picture of the "four-star" hotel, just add rooms where you would get no sun or view of the beautiful landscape there is (the hotel is placed in a weird way, north to south, facing a coniferous forest, while the best view would be on east-west axis), "comfy" plastic (!) chairs in a deluxe room and as a cherry on the top - horrible breakfast with severely diluted juices and tasteless coffee (coffee-ed water to be precied). Never mind the breakfast actually, for the food quickly runs out and does not get replaced any way so you are very lucky to actually find any meat cuts or omelet there, just keep it light to bread, juice and coffee. Further to this, do not expect too much of a tranquility and stuff here - the place seems to be quite popular among conference makers and also families with children with all the implications... which is also a kind of surprising considering how low value you get in return for the high price they normally charge. The only decent place here is the a la carte restaurant with relatively moderate prices, good food and wine, and the wellness center (when it is not super busy though). Conclusion - no go as a place for overnight stay, only for the day visiting the wellness center and/or a la carte restaurant. In any case, do not get lured - there is nothing four-star to this hotel.

The hotel is in a realy beautiful area. There is a nice indoor and outdoor pool and many other activities and wellness area (you have to pay for). We have stayed full board (buffet style). We were satisfied with the quality and also variety(4 mains-also for vegetarians, soup and salat bar). The biggest problem is the customer servise. There is none. So if you are used to the customer servise of 4* hotels abroad, dont choose this hotel.

We decided to go on a short vacation in the area of the Seč Reservior, and picked the Hotel Jezerka. The prices are rather steep considering other comparable hotels in the Czech Republic, but looking at the reviews and pictures we decided to give it a chance. Since we were only going to be there for about five days we decided to stay at one of their lower costing cottages. The cottage slept about four to five people and was clean. It came with all the basics, and a kitchen with hot plates and a fridge, but I wouldn't recommend it for people just traveling through. The overall facilities of this hotel are very nice and modern. There are many activities just at the hotel. Indoor and outdoor pool, but we were unable to use the outdoor pool because it was closed. I didn't understand that since the temperatures were in the high 20s C (around 80 F), and the sun was shining most of the time. We could see the pool and it look perfect, but alas. There is also a sauna and a hot tub indoors. If you enjoy sports there are squash and tennis courts, and a bowling alley. This hotel also has a nice sized kids indoor playground. Our five year old loved it. He spent many hours wearing himself out. Jezerka obviously serves as a Congress Center for business meetings, and constantly has large groups coming in and out. There are, from what I was able to see two restaurants and one bar. This hotel is mainly designed to provide an entertaining time for business personnel visiting them, because the area itself doesn't have much for upscale guests. Jezerka is actually located in the lakeside village of Ústupky, which contains many cottages and older hotels in varying states of repair. Trying to get to this hotel in winter could be a challenge do to its more isolated location. I think the one thing that was the most disappointing aspect about this hotel was that all the restaurant staff lacked professionalism, or manners. Some in the Czech Republic have become used to waiters/waitresses making faces, or responding in a rude manner, but I never will. We were constantly ignored in the restaurant, while clients of the day's business meeting were tended to quickly. It happened twice to us, after that we decided to go walking thru the nearby village and found a older hotel down the street that at least served us with a smile, and courtesy. You can't run a hotel without courtesy, the two go hand in hand. Frankly, I could have easily given this hotel five stars, if their service and behavior had been at least decent. Their loss. Every summer we go to places like this. I can tell you, that we won't waste our time, or money, at this place again. If you have a conference here, then I am sure you won't be disappointed, but I wouldn't pay to vacation here.

Hotel was nice and clean. Stayed in B Block and the room was nicely decorated and modern compared to a lot of hotels in Czech. Wifi worked very well and there was a great coffee shop by the entrance. Unfortunately, I was here for a business conference and did not have any time to enjoy the facilities but from the outside, they look very enticing. Thinking about returning with the family for a holiday.

Super nice and helpful staff! Very clean and nice hotel with beautiful surroundings. Good prices. Extremely nice wellness areas! The aromatic steamcabin and saltwater pool is superb! A little bit off but that is one of the things that makes it super relaxing.

The title of this review would lead you to believe it's a good thing. It is in fact the opposite. A colleague and I stayed here last night. It was booked for us by our work place as we have been working in nearby Prachovice. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by how modern the building looked as it is situated in the middle of woods and is quite remote. They have a wellness centre which looked quite nice too..... until someone opened their towel and waved their manhood at us through the glass fronted building. Well what a welcome. ( not the hotels fault though I guess) We checked in and we're given a map of the hotel and our room numbers which were in D block. Our driver fortunately showed us where the rooms were as neither of us speak a lot of Czech. We were a little concerned that D block wasn't even in the map but followed him through the hotel. We walked down stairs and down a long corridor past a restaurant and then outside..... (bit more concerned at this point that were not in hotel any more) So we keep walking. Down a mud track in the pitch black (and it was snowing quite heavily) with our suitcases and laptop bags. It was that dark we had to get the torches on our phones so we could see where we're going. We eventually arrive at "the dependence". It looks like in the summer there is a restaurant and games room in there but last night it was deserted. My colleague and I were the only 2 people in there. Her room did not have a bathroom and mine was on the next floor so we were not even close together. There wasn't even any wifi which as a business traveller is crucial We instantly decided we couldn't stay there as not only was it a ridiculous walk back to the hotel for dinner but we actually didn't feel safe there and the rooms were very basic. We had to ring one of our colleagues to get them to ring the hotel to change rooms for us. They did in the end have 2 rooms in the main building for us which were Lovely. My main question is this: if you had 2 very nice rooms in the main building why the hell would you put 2 women travelling alone outside in the awful dependence and make them walk down a pitch black path alone????? You seriously need to look at your allocation procedure. It's disgraceful. We did eat at the hotel and the food was very nice. I had chicken supreme with mashed potato and shiitake mushroom sauce and my colleague a chicken pasta and both were delicious. The waiter was also very friendly and helpful which is the only reason I have given it 2 stars. I think this may be a nice place for a group of outdoorsy type people if you stay in the main building. I would not want to stay here again. Ever.

I was there two nights for a business event. I was given a room so small that I could not find a place to open my suitcase, at the end I was forced to open it on the bed. The hotel does not offer laundry service and this alone leave so much point to the hotel that potentially can be a very good place to relax. The hotel is placed in the middle of a very calm and beautiful conifer forest, very far from noise and any sort of pollution. Hotel looks renovated and all fittings are pretty new. One thing that annoyed me a lot was the presence of so many doors between the reception and the room, so reaching the room with luggage is not an easy task. Also ramps and stairs make things even more complicated. The hotel offer a very well organized spa and wellness centre, two tennis courts, outdoor kids playing area, small bowling and gun shooting range. Overall mixed feeling, place very very nice, hotel organization can be muc much improved.
