We are from Ukraine, we stayed at the hotel from September 6 to 14. There is such an atmosphere here that we will definitely come back here. Thank you very much to all the staff, the girls at the reception are friendly. Amel worked with us, she wholeheartedly resolved our issues with the settlement. Special thanks to the animation team, everything is very unobtrusive, always a good program, pleasant music plays in the hotel. We arrived from another hotel, where, due to the loud rap music, from which there was nowhere to hide throughout the entire territory, it was impossible to stay. nice well-kept area, although small. They take great care of cleanliness. Good cuisine, rich sweet table. If you like the atmosphere of a pleasant private club with good manners, come here, you won’t regret it. we will get back to you! Thank you all !

Thank you to all the staff, especially the animation team who worked so hard every day to help make our stay at this hotel very special from ensuring a varied selection of entertainment all provided with a great sense of humour and smiles. The food was always very very tasty with a lot of variety of choice. Room was very clean and comfortable and the trip organiser helped ensure all our plans ran smoothly. A perfect mix for a memorable holiday.

➡️ Very problematic reception. I had check in in night and there was no light and guy who doesn't speak English. He went with us to the room and tried to show how he is tired with our luggage and said I should to give him 20usd. Another woman at the reception was two times in pajama and she was not nice person. After check out when I waited for my bus she said I should to pay something.
➡️ WiFi is not working good and sometimes is no internet
➡️ all hotel stuff talk in french no English so is super problematic. Only one barman speak well in English and one entertainment guy speak good English other speak 50/50. Other stuff talk in English only few words or nothing.
➡️ hotel is dirty. In my room bathroom was dirty. In reception they have dirty sofas. In restaurant dirty chairs.
➡️ animators looks like tired persons. They tried to do animation but with no energy.
➡️ in the bar still lacking some alcohol and machine for coffee is broken
➡️ pool inside is not working
➡️ breakfast is super poor. And for fresh orange juice you need to pay extra. At lunch and dinner is only one or two fruits. Waiters don't see you don't have water on you table. And is no normal water in a bottle just only gas water.
➡️ cleaning stuff enter to my room when I'm inside changing clothes.

👍dj during the day is playing good music
👍party in the pool with foam was great

The overall experience was far from satisfactory, with numerous issues that made my stay quite unpleasant. Firstly, the food provided by the hotel was of incredibly poor quality. The taste was bland and unappetizing, and the limited variety made every meal a monotonous affair.

Furthermore, the staff at the hotel lacked professionalism and seemed disinterested in providing proper service. Their indifference towards guests' concerns was frustrating, as they were unhelpful and failed to address even the most basic requests. It was disappointing to witness such a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.

The absence of room service was a significant drawback. it is expected that a hotel would offer this convenience to its guests.

One aspect that deeply troubled me was the sight of children working in the hotel's kitchen. It is both ethically and legally questionable to employ underage

Everything was wonderful :food, people , attractions and the weather. The hotel is situated on the beautiful area at the sea. Beach discos nice too but too much French music.I'm from Poland and we dont speak French , mostly we speak English. Man at reception is the only one who speaks English perfectly and the Polish people are very satisfied with his service because he always has solution for them:) Thank you very much:))

Last year my boyfriend and I booked this as our first summer holiday together at Thomas Cook - we were assured the hotel was lovely so we went ahead with the booking. However when we returned home and excitedly looked online at the hotel reviews on here we started to worry a bit as the reviews weren't very good at all - WELL ignore them all if you see any because when we arrived at the hotel we were very impressed and it certainly exceeded expectations.

The building is lovely, its huge! The room was lovely and spacious, great view. Lovely beach and pool area. Great for couples and a fairly cheap get away.

My only advice would be - the food is amazingly presented but can get a bit repetitive after a bit but that's expected within an inclusive hotel anyway and also there isn't much outside the hotel but there is loads to do at the resort anyway! Only other comment would be that you get pestered a bit by the reps to do excursions etc but again this happens anywhere abroad really!

I was quite concerned at the lack of consistency that seemed to stem from the previous reviews, with some rating 5 stars and others 1 star despite the fact they travelled at the same time. What I will do is go through all of the good and bad things I came across in my week, from the 5th - 13th August 2012, in the hope that it may ease your mind/ raise any concerns before you book a holiday here.

First of all, the location is fantastic. The hotel is only a short coach journey from Djerba airport, making for an easy transfer (coach via Thomas Cook). The beach is beautiful, with a combination of open sand for sun lovers, and palm trees and copious ammounts of sunshades for those less inclined to sizzle in the 30-40 degree heat. Despite the temperature, the coast provides a nice breeze, meaning the weather is perfect for a beach getaway.

The rooms were nice and spacious, with a good sized balcony. We thought we paid for a sea view, but upon not receiving one, we realised our booking form actually said we paid for a pool/sea view. The view of the pool was lovely, and based on these rooms being recommended on here, we decided not to pursue it any further. The shower was clean but weak for those who like a powershower, but with it being cleaned daily, and bedsheets replaced also on a daily basis, it is hard to find much fault with the room at all. There was more than enough closet space and plug sockets (need adaptors).

The pool was brilliantly cool as an escape from the hot weather, with a nice atmosphere produced by the combination of family-based guests and efforts from the animation team. Children were constantly laughing and playing along to the games, which when combined with the good selection of music played throughout the day, once again it is hard to find fault. The animation team were brilliantly enthusiastic throughout the day, with activities such as beach volleyball and aqua gym going on daily. The evening entertainment was not quite as impressive, quite poor in fact, but it was so bad to the point of being quite amusing, and almost contributed to the general enjoyment that the hotel provides.

The breakfast selection was in my opinion quite poor, but I am not the most adventurous when it comes to food, so others may have enjoyed the local cuisine, but I was not a fan. Lunch and dinner was slightly better, with there being many options available, including fish and meat selections, as well as pasta dishes such as spaghetti bolognaise for people like me, who don't like to branch out too much. Dessert was pleasant and plentiful.

The local beer, Celtia, served throughout the hotel was not far removed from beers that you get in England, which I was relieved to find. The wine I would avoid at all costs. Spirits and mixers could make for an interesting night, because to say that the barmen were generous in their portions of alcohol would be an understatement. It essentially worked out to be half spirit and half mixer, which I for one wasn't too inclined to complain about. Cocktails were a nice touch, with the barmen each having their own different specials and varieties, you just had to ask. A few notes of concern would be the number of flies in and around the bar, the small glasses, especially when just ordering soft drinks, but mostly the quick rinse the barmen gave dirty glasses before reusing them. But overall, when the drinks are free, you begin to stop noticing. The one thing I didn't stop noticing, however, was the poor attitude of the bar staff, who would forget who they were serving, mix up orders and look fed up if you ever ordered more than two different drinks.

It must be said, the hotel is very geared towards French customers due to the french-speaking locals and staff, and even Germans were often, in my opinion, better catered for. Not many of the staff spoke English at all, which for many, especially during the entertainment, could be seen as a negative. It could often lead to a lot of 'what is happening?' whilst watching, but due to the musicality of much of the shows, it wasn't too hard to follow, partly due to the popularity of English music. One thing that must be said, however, is despite the fact that not many of the staff spoke English, all of them would try their best, which was really nice, with many 'Ah English, how are you?' being thrown around, which was pleasant, despite the inability of conversation to develop. It is not a surprise to see that they would try much harder to develop conversation when talking to young ladies, as opposed to us men, but I can't say we wasn't expecting it, and despite what many say on here, it never seemed threatening or aggressive, just friendly local men trying their luck.

Two last things of note: the beach activities were fantastic. I personally did kayaking and the parachute ride whilst attached to a speedboat, which I could not recommend more. My family and I also did a boat trip to Flamingo Island, through Thomas Cook, which was a fantastic night.

Overall, I gave Eden Star 4/5 because that is exactly what it was, a 4 Star holiday at a 4 Star hotel. Having been on 5 star holidays before, it did miss the finesse and luxury of some holidays, but as with most holidays, you get what you pay for. And if you are looking for a 4 Star holiday in Tunisia, then the Eden Star is most definitely for you.

Worst holiday experience ever! Clean hotel but compliments stop there - really aggressive predatory male staff- unsafe for females, lots of customers arguing with staff- v unpleasant. Have travelled widely in Tunisia and previously had a lovely time but urge you to avoid this hotel.
