We were very pleased with the Red Bud Inn. Comfort , location, friendliness, care and compassion. Stan was very helpful with our request for a one night stay during his busy season when most are two minimum. We look forward to staying here again if/when we are in the area.
Great economical place to sleep and tour the local area from. Very clean and Stan the owner is a great guy. Basic amenities included and safe location. Stan even provided his mothers homemade persimmon pudding recipe!
If you are looking for a place to stay that is not fancy but is clean and comfortable then this is the place to stay. Stan (the owner) was very nice and caring. Even called to see when we would be there so that he could turn up the heat so it would be nice and toastie when we came in from the cold. The way a hotel use to be nothing fancy but we are not fancy folks. The bed was very comfortable and Stan even gave us the larger room since we were staying 3 nights.
This hotel has the basic necessities. If you plan on just sleeping here it, is great for that purpose. The beds were older but comfortable enough. One was squeaky, so that every time you moved or turned over it was noisy. The bathroom needs some new caulking and it needs the mold cleaned as well. Towels were plentiful and Stan, the owner was accommodating. Hot coffee was available every morning. This is not your typical chain hotel that has what your used to, but the price was much better than the local chains since we were only sleeping there. I've stayed here three times now and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Nashville Indiana's Red Bud Inn Motel is a real gem; a classic, family-run, operation for the economy-minded traveler looking for the basics. This ain't The Plaza, folks; but it is a nice, clean and affordable place to stay in sometimes-pricey Nashville. Friendly Innkeepers and a convenient location make this a fine place to stay, as long as you don't have outsized expectations of what you'll get for the budget rate (I paid $39 per night, mid-week). The room was very basic, with a comfortably firm queen bed, table with two chairs, small color tv on the dresser, a mini fridge and microwave. The separate bathroom had a shower only (with good pressure and plenty of hot water), and was very clean. There was a window that opened, and a heater/AC combo unit in the main room. Fast wi-fi was free. Hardwood floors and a fresh coat of paint added to the overall clean impression I had of the room. The whole Inn is non-smoking. The only lighting in the room was a small chandelier over the table, which gave off plenty of light. A lamp might have been nice, but I really felt like I got a lot nicer room than I paid for. Nashville, Indiana's downtown shopping area is a five minute drive away, as is Brown County State Park (where a comparable room at the Inn costs $89). Bloomington and Indiana University are 15 miles down the road, so this is an affordable and viable option for a place to stay when visiting Bloomington, where rooms are expensive and sometimes hard to find. I'll be staying here again, as well as recommending this place to my friends as basic lodging.…
