As we started the drive up to the lodge we knew this place was going to be special and we weren’t disappointed,,,, Wow what a gem this place . Ali greeted us warmly on arrival , there was a notice board with our names welcoming us and from there it just got better and more special. Our accommodation was stunning , the views from our terrace consisted of mountains, changing sunsets and the rolling vineyards. We stayed 3 nights and spent our last evening with Ali and Nic on their patio , fire roaring , their wine flowing , amazing food platter and lots of laughter,,, wonderful evening creating a special memory. Ali as our host was like being with your mum, sister , daughter or best friend rolled into one ,,, she’s one special lady ,,, and goes out of her way to make your stay there wonderful offering advice and knowledge of places and restaurants to visit. We definitely will return to Mt Rosa Lodge if we are lucky enough to be in that area again.

The service is personal, well planned and the lodge is very clean. I will remember my stay as one of the highlights of my life. It is very special. There isn’t anything quite like this. It is a multi-faceted diamond in the middle of an already amazing country. Treat yourself to a private spa quality feel. It is 30 minutes from Queenstown centered in a beautiful vineyard. The lodge is exclusive, make a reservation as they are often booked in advance. Call 24 hours before check-in to prepare for your stay. The owner is hands on and provides a lovely soft place to land. This is connected as part of their home so don’t expect to pop-in last minute. It’s not that kind of place,it’s much better. God has provided and blessed us with the honor of a day and a night in this amazing place. May your stay be as lovely as ours. Cheers!

simple an amazing place to stay this has been our third visit and we just keep coming back - the location is astounding - the lodge is beautifully laid out - the way the lodge is nestled into the hillside among the vineyard gives you both privacy and an expansive view

Our group of seven from Auckland arrived professing out total dislike of Sauvignon Blanc and we all refused to taste it. Thanks to the lovely Trish who insisted we should give it a go- everyone of us loved it and bottles were purchased. Very good lesson on never judge a book by its cover. The tasting went from great to greater and we sampled some fabulous Pinot Gris a wonderful Pinot Blanc (very rare) a superb Rose and very delicious Pinot Noirs. Our school teacher Trish knew her wines - was Passionate and persuaded the dubious to be adventurous- with great results. Really warm atmosphere, views and fun tasting with very unusual results. A great hill climb for the fit and a lovely dog.

As we drove up towards the lodge, it was nestled on the hill. We arrived and were greeted by Ali. The views around were stunning. Snow capped mountains, vines and a stunning view across the valley. We were immediately invited in for coffee and/ or tea. Ali with an incredible knowledge of the area helped us plan our stay even before we arrived. Hints on where to go, what wineries to visit and where to eat. Breakfast was fantastic- you will not go hungry that's for sure. Our room was beautiful, clean with great views of the cherry blossoms outside our glass windows and doors. The room is well appointed and classy. The bed comfortable and the bathroom well designed and beautiful. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Heated floors a delight on the cold days. We had a platter one night with the family and it was a great evening chatting, eating with a few glasses of Pinot. We only had 3 days there and wished we had more. My wife and I had a great time staying at the Lodge. A place we will be staying the next time we are in Queenstown. 10/10 To Ali and Nic. Great place - Sensational hosts. Oh and the 2 beautiful dogs Rusty and Monroe.
