What an amazing place OysterBay Lodge is.... Built from barely nothing it is complete luxury. A wonderful suite, tastefully decorated with delightful bathroom and comfy beds. What more can you wish for.. Oh, views to die for, horse riding on the almost empty beaches. Staff at your back hand call... Please continue this dream, we loved it!

In 2013 and 2016 we visited this lodge. In 2016 the road to the Lodge is improved last months. The gravel road is renewed, so the road to reach this lodge is very good from now. The location is perfect. We have done horse riding with a very good guide. The service at the restaurant, bar and other aspects is... More

Thank you very much for your positive review. We are also thrilled that our gravel road is in a better condition comparing to the past. We will bring your compliment of the guides to them. They love the horses and the rides with all our guests on the beach. See you next time! More

My wife and I stayed at Oyster Bay Lodge for two nights. We could easily have stayed longer. The friendly staff always with a good smile, not far away from a laugh and with excellent service attitude made this to one of the high lights during a our Garden Route tour. We did the horse back riding tour and had... More

We stopped in during a 15 day tour of South Africa and can only say that we wish we had stayed longer than one night. Hans, the owner, greeted us on arrival and had horses waiting for us as we requested even though we were a little late with our arrival for a sunset ride. Hans and the rest of... More

The location is quite isolated and the access is quite aggressive (dust road). Probably is a good place to stay more then one day to enjoy the activities, but I din't feel, that the overall was extraordinary. The room wasn't cozy at all.

We were more than delighted by our visit to Oyster Bay Lodge. Such a stunning setting, charming people, great food and an imaginative comfortable room. The most glorious beach ever. Truly amazing value at current GBP exchange rate

Had a fantastic three nights. Myself my husband our daughter, son in law and two grandchildren went Dune Surfing, Horse riding, walking with and without a guide and enjoying the beach. What more could any one want, to be well looked after and have lots of adventures.

We visited here for two days following a Safari, unfortunately we very very disappointed. The position is stunning but the service didn't match up. The restaurant service was incredibly slow and at times, the food was served cold. There was a list of activities advertised but when we asked about booking them we were told that one guide wasn't working... More

Challenging access road, 16km of gravel road but stunning views and lovely walk down to the beach once there. Pool rather small. Rooms clean and adequate. Food was excellent but no choice, fortunately we did not have any special requirements, my sister who was not travelling with us has to have a Gluten Free Diet. Free WiFi available in the... More

This was planned as a return visit to that made 5 years ago. The hospitality and the surroundings remain excellent. The walks around the lodge were again magnificent. The entrance road seems to have deteriorated a little and guests should be aware of the gravel road from the N2 and poor signposting especially if you wish to travel south on... More
