We visited McKenzie House for the first time a couple of years ago. One visit was all it took for it to become our absolute favorite place to get away from it all. There is something about the atmosphere that draws you in and you feel a sense of complete peace and relaxation when you walk through the door. Bruce and Sherrie always treat us like family and anticipate any need that we might have. The breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are immaculate, and there are numerous places around the property to slip away to read, rest and just spend time enjoying nature. McKenzie House has become our "go to" place when we want to get away. No place else compares!

Our family of 6 sisters, along with daughters and granddaughters (and a few times with grandsons) have been going to McKenzie House to reflect and celebrate Mother's Day. Our mother passed in 2012 and for the past 8 years (starting in 2013 to reflect on our mother and to enjoy the weekend for Mother's Day) and have returned every year. This year we were delayed by the pandemic, but did not want to just cancel. We had the main house and the Carriage House. We just love the hosts, better now known as family. They have always been the best to us and we know they are to everyone. This year being almost a month later we were able to use the pool, as well as always the hot tub. You will always feel welcomed and will love this beautiful BnB. Relaxing and lots of room. The craft room is wonderful for all of us to gather, we wish it was a little bigger, as our family has grown and would love to have all of us there. Much love to Sherry and Bruce. See you next year.

This is the second time I have stayed at McKenzie's House and can't say enough about Sherry and Bruce. From the minute you enter the B&B you are made to feel you are at home. The breakfast is beyond all expectations and you know the special care they have taken to prepare each room. You are truly blessed to stay here. Thanks again Sherry and Bruce, you never disappoint. God Bless you!

I think this is our fourth or fifth stay at McKenzie House. We spent two nights in the Courtney Suite again. What a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere! It is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need: plenty of room to relax, a nice inside seating area, comfy king size bed, kitchen with refrigerator, large bath with a Jacuzzi tub! The perfect getaway!
Breakfasts were amazing as always! Sherry is an excellent cook and the food is top notch and plenteous, beautifully presented and absolutely scrumptious! Breakfast conversation with Bruce and Sherry is always enjoyable. They are wonderful hosts!
Thanks again for a lovely time! We will be back again!

First time staying at a B&B and wish I lived closer to stay again. Definitely worth the extra money. Breakfast was outstanding, hosts are friendly, welcoming, and helpful, place was cozy and comfortable and they have a pool, hot tub, and full basement with games, TV, etc. You almost don't even need to leave to explore anything else because it is super relaxing to just take in the place you are staying. Make sure you stay here!

I appreciate always the attention to detail that the owners have for their customers. They are gracious and super helpful. The rooms are always comfortable, clean and very well stocked with goodies, etc... The breakfast is always delicious. Highly recommend this for a get away if you have the time.

We were trying to count how many times we have stayed here at McKenzie House. So many times that we have lost count. This is our "go to" when we just want to get away. It is so relaxing and peaceful. Always a delicious breakfast and conversation as well! Sherry & Bruce are phenomenal hosts, always have a recommendation if we are looking for something new. We cannot speak highly enough about the place and the hosts. Love the place!

We spent 3 nights here while visiting the area. Bruce and Sherry were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the lower level of the Carriage House which was very nice. It was like an apartment with a kitchen, dining area, living room, bathroom, bedroom, and porch. Loved the Happy Birthday sign for me as you entered the main house. The breakfasts were divine! Sherry's homemade cinnamon rolls and baked oatmeal and peaches were spectacular! The company at breakfast each morning was great.

Spent two nights in the Cournand the time flew by. Bruce and Sherry and wonderful hosts. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the oatmeal/peach cobbler. Enjoyed our conversations in the morning and the help setting up the sites to see around Middlebury. There is so much to see. The room was perfect for a relaxing getaway.
