Husband, daughter and I went early on a winter Sunday and we were one of only 2 tables the whole time. It would have been nice to have more of a crowd, but the service was excellent, food great and atmosphere just lovely. The cocktails were pricey, but delicious: perfect Makers Mark Manhattan. We had a few small plates like...

Thank you for your kind review. Although open all year, our business is seasonal. If you would like a little more buzz, try us on a Saturday night or any day during the summer. We appreciate your remarks and the opportunity to offer you the unique ambience the Inn provides us all.

We were here for a Friday evening through Sunday Morning stay. I have to admit I became a bit skeptical after reading previous reviews. When we arrived we were greeted by staff which promptly checked us in. We stayed in the room named 'Captain's Quarters' and were pleased. Yes, it has some 'unique characteristics'...a strange triangular toilet area that was...

Hello Craig, No we are not perfect, but your review certainly is! You have captured all of the things that we think makes the Inn a special place. The people that come in are amazing and it is so gratifying to see everyone having such a good time. Our regulars have often tell us they feel it is their duty...

We arrived without a reservation on a Saturday night with very high hopes based on the recommendation of a local, the charming exterior and the packed parking lot. I wouldn't really call this restaurant average, nor would I say it was poor...but it was definitely somewhere in the middle. There were two young ladies at the hostess desk--neither of whom...

My boyfriend and I were looking for a restful and peaceful weekend in the woods near the beach. We were looking forward to staying at the dunelandbeachinn. The front desk staff were very friendly but short on details for checking in. Upon arriving in the room we were surprised by the layout of the bathroom facilities. Since my boyfriend is...

They really need to rethink the concept for this inn/restaurant! From the moment we checked in, around 9 p.m. on a Friday, the entire place was loud and bustling with people. All of the guest rooms are located directly above the busy restaurant and we could actually hear people's conversations from within our room! Things didn't quiet down until after...

We live in the area and decided to try this restaurant in an inn once again. The good news is the dining room is updated pleasant and clean. Nice friendly waitstaff. Cold and aloof reception staff. Bottom line their famous fried chicken was the smallest size available... and thus extremely dry after frying. Hard to image fried chicken with no...

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at The Duneland Beach Inn, in Michigan City, IN June 9th and 10th, 2012. We have a place in nearby New Buffalo, MI, but it's under construction so needed to check on progress of our home and knew of Duneland Beach Inn. We decided to give it whirl! The staff (...

Loved it all...the ambiance of the patio and torches, the food was magnificent, and our server was amazing and knowledgeable. Truly a hidden treasure on the LakeShores of Long Beach. No pool needed!! Cozy and welcoming.

This place is confusing and difficult to rate. This is my second time staying here and I really want to say that I have had an incredible experience both times, but sadly I can’t. The location is spectacular, just a short walk from to the beach and in a great area that is quiet at night (outside the building itself)....

My husband and I stayed at the Duneland Beach Inn to celebrate our anniversary and spend our first night away from our 6 month old daughter! Overall the hotel was very clean and the facility/grounds were very nice. Pros: Location--a two minute walk from a beautiful beach! Ten minute drive from New Buffalo and Michigan City! Near lots of blueberry...
