Pool lighting is falling out of the ceiling and some are ready to fall because they are hanging by the cord. The halls smell ungodly bad like smoke even though you get a non smoking room you will feel like you will pass out. Front desk staff was very Rudy and disrespectful and the tv worked but the channels were...

My husband, myself and my daughter booked a room. In our room you could tell it had been poorly cleaned or not cleaned at all. There was a huge pile of hair under the sink. The pillows were filthy with some kind of brown stain on them. The dust was very thick around the borders of the room as if...

My husband & I stayed as a stopover en route from MT to NC, so we were very road weary and in need of quality rest. This place definitely delivered in that department. We had a king room with no fridge or micro (this is available in some rooms as I understand it). The bed was very comfortable, and we...

when you first see hotel, it looks very nice from the outside with the exception of the roof. you walk inside and it looks very cultured. But as you look deeper, you see a property that is badly in need of repair and a really good cleaning. the room we had was clean at least. there were a few holes...

The room is dirty... no smoke detector. ..can't sit on the chairs unless covered by a towel. The bathroom doors are filthy. The carpet is coming up and I almost fell. There are termites everywhere in here... I'm extremely disappointed I didn't expect much but damn this is really bad!!! Avoid at all cost!!!

Driving in there were potholes throughout the parking lot. The parking lot is dimly lit. Walking in should have been a clue not to stay. It was dimly lit inside and the carpets were stained throughout the hotel. The room itself wasn't too bad a stain on the sheets and it needs updating. The community microwave was filthy. My daughter...

Our stay at the Merrillville Econo Lodge was very pleasant. The staff was great, the rooms clean, and it was very quiet. One thing we greatly appreciated was the thermostat control on the air as the weather went from warm to cool very quickly and we didn't have to decide between heat and air. The continental breakfast was adequate and...

Badly in need of renovation. Old smoke smell is disguised by perfume. Need to paint in-room walls, sew the fabrics, and update the sinks and toilets. Thank goodness it was a quick stop over. Pool was in need of a cleaning too. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all I'd say this is barely a 3 star...

“There is a pool and whirlpool, and the hotel is willing to keep them open a bit later than the posted time. So, if that kind of noise bothers you, ask for a room away from that area. We stayed in a room at the end of one of the halls on the first floor, and it was nice and quiet.”
