From the moment you come onto this stunning property you feel at home and at peace. The land, including the barns, chicken coop and grass mazes through the woods are tranquil and breathtaking. While this is wonderful for adults, it was doubly so for our daughter. We spent most of our time there exploring the grounds with her and getting... More

Based on the almost 100% excellent reviews on Trip Advisor and the comments about the wonderful breakfasts, I called and made a reservation. After receiving a confirming email, which included a link to their website, I checked the website to learn more about Bluestem. It was then that I found out that because of recent changes in county regulations they... More

I sincerely regret that our name coupled with the past reviews of our great breakfasts is misleading. Once the new county food service regulations were enacted, I did immediately submit a request to TripAdvisor to change our name to "Guest House" to avoid exactly the kind of situation you ran into, but the change has not taken place. I'm glad... More

This is the most lovely B & B. The hosts are very sweet and accommodating to our needs. We are a small Theatre company and were passing through on our way to Iowa. It was the perfect stopping point and once we arrived we realized that Bluestem is a destination point more than just a stopover.

I loved the elegance and flow of the master suite. The bathroom was perfect and breakfast delightful wonderful day relaxing was welcomed. And there is even a cute stuffed Lamb I named Chops. The space was inviting and open, I enjoyed every single second at Bluestem. From the moment of arrival Christine was welcoming and her home charming to say... More

Our weekend get away involved the New Buffalo, MI 2013 Wine Festival. We looked at several places to stay in New Buffalo, but could not find anything that matched the value and beauty of Bluestem B&B. It is unique in that it only offers 1 suite for rent. While I don't mind mingling with other guests, it was great to... More

After two nights camping at the beautiful nearby Warren Dunes State Park, we welcomed hot showers, comfortable beds piled with blankets and delicious home cooked local food. Christina and Jose provided all that and good conversation. My sons, 13 and 9 years old, enjoyed exploring the grounds and learning about raising hens. Christina and Jose are very interesting to speak... More

We stayed at the Bluestem while in the process of delivering our daughter to Notre Dame. Being away from the hustle and bustle of the campus in South Bend gearing up for another year was a real plus for us. My wife and daughter found the bed very comfortable, and I was more than happy with the sofa/bed in the... More

The great thing about Bluestem B&B is the wonderful attention to detail that Christine and José provide. The rooms and grounds are immaculately kept and seem to be taken care of with lots of love and care. This also applies to their guests. Christine has a very gentle and kind approach that makes you feel right at home, and her... More

We had a lovely and relaxing time at the Bluestem. Christine and Jose were gracious hosts and Christine's cooking was just as wonderful as other reviewers have indicated. The breakfasts were delicious and everyone in the family enjoyed them thoroughly. I especially enjoyed all the attention to detail in the house (the property as well). You could tell its' restoration... More
