Your second home : Art,food, culture !! We believe in sitting in a big hotel is not the way to experience the local culture and meet the true people in the country. Beyond the travel book, to See the world differently, discover rustic, authentic life, we always need to connect with locals. Do what the locals do, eat where they eat and experience the realness of the country you're visiting. Villa ivy is a place where you feel at home away from home... When we travel to another country we need someone who do more than just hand over keys. Real people bringing real experiences to our life and can be friends forever!!

I stayed in this place just a one night but I would like to highly recommend this place if you are looking for a boutique hotel near Colombo administration hub with exceptional staff service. I booked a deluxe double room and the room was clean and nicely arranged together with so comfortable and soft mattress and pillows. When I first enter to the hotel I was so impressed by the interior designs, all the walls and free spaces have been professionally designed and filled with lovely decorations. I will definitely be back with my family for couple of days during our next vacation.

We booked this unique boutique hotel for three nights. Thanks for the great, helpful and kind staff service from the beginning. When I emailed for information I received an immediate reply with relevant information and the booking process was so easy. Actually, we had to arrive early due to a sudden change in our itinerary. Big thanks for rearranging our transportation and your warm welcome with a fresh and delicious breakfast arrangement on such short notice

We stayed here for five nights, using it as a base while we extended our visas (15 minutes to Immigration Office), co-ordinated car hire and explored the city. I also took part in a cooking class at the villa during our stay - it was a fabulous experience and I have reviewed it separately on my profile. This is a beautiful villa. Set back off any main roads, in the green belt area of Colombo, so lots of lush vegetation surrounding the villa. The design and decoration of the building is very contemporary and there is always a new little feature or piece of art work that catches your eye while wandering around the building. Our room was clean, big and airy, with a vaulted roof and modern furnishings. Big comfy bed, large wardrobe, balcony, large wetroom (with hot water) ceiling fan and A/C. In addition there are several pleasant communal spaces. A large landing area with comfy sofas and a TV. A roof terrace, with lots of plants and views across the green belt. A downstairs seating area, with plenty of reading material to help yourself to and a large selection of DVD's We had breakfast included with our booking and were treated to freshly made Sri Lankan breakfast each morning - every day it was something new and gave us a real taste of proper local fare. All the staff were fantastic. Friendly, chatty, courteous and attentive. Nim in particular went out of his way to help us out. We wanted to sort out car hire for our remaining time in Sri Lanka. Having had little success sourcing anything decent ourselves Nim stepped in and went to a lot of effort to sort car hire for us with a local company at a very affordable price. I would highly recommend a stay here. There is a relaxed, stylish feel to the place and it's just a tuk tuk ride away from the cultural sights of Colombo.

We stayed there for 2 nights and it was a very unique experience. we have stayed in boutique hotels before but this was one of a kind. Its distinctive interior makes it stand out from others. It really gives you a non-hotel feeling which makes you comfortable, homely, relaxed and finally you will attract and love this place. Added to that they offered us a very personalised and customised and also a very friendly service. Food was superb both local and western dishes, and they made it for our own choice, sometimes off the menu. Best thing is there is always someone beside you to help you or talking to you whenever you need. It was an awesome feeling. I think Villa ivy crest is a unique hotel
