Stayed here looking for a quiet place to stay. The facilities are good for the price, apartment, pool and on the sea. The staff were exceptionally helpful. A lovely and friendly restaurant and bar across the street if you don't want to cook
The staff were very kind, friendly, and effective at their jobs. The pool and oceanfront areas were very clean and well kept. The unit I stayed in, however, was awful. Though the staff tried their best to clean the room, the filter in the AC hadn't been changed in forever, so the room smelled old and musty anytime I turned it on. The light bulbs were all either old and yellow, missing, or burnt out. The shower curtain was brown at the base and there was a hole right through the centre of the ironing board. The towels were all white, but sometimes smelled like they hadn't dried properly and had stains in them. I travelled with family who stayed in different units which were much nicer. I read a previous review response which said something about the unit being owned by different individuals. If that's the case, Chrisanns really needs to vet their property owners better, or insist on a standard if they are to be able to use the name of 'Chrisanns Beach Resort'. Honestly, there was no standard of quality from one unit to the next. I'd probably not stay there again just because I wouldn't know what kind of experience I'd have.…
I had to visit the Tower Isle area recently. Having spent 3 nights elsewhere in "adequate" accommodation I then moved to the Chrisann and have to say the location, standard of accommodation and general level of service was outstanding. The room was very well furnished and the pool/beach area was clean and well maintained. It's only minutes from Ohci on the A3, across the road is the Jerk Centre that sells good food at reasonable prices and a well stocked supermarket next door. The staff couldn't have been anymore accomodating if they wanted to, especially Ms Whitters.
I spend 2-3 times a year on this hotel. Always very peaceful place and with easy access to Ocho Rios and a small supermarket cross the road. Also a nice bar cross the road serving nice food like jerk pork.
I spent 2 nights in apartment 28 and was absolutely pleased! The decor of room truly made me feel the Caribbean vibe, nice, bright and cosy. The setup of room was great and I loved the loft area. Our room was very clean and I was happy to have met Simone our housekeeper. She did a very good job. Both me and my family had a great time for the few nights we spent. Even though i wasnot able to see the other rooms on property, I can say from my experience that room 28 is the place to be! I also loved the easy access to pool and beach. Next time I am in Jamaica I will definitely stay here again.
