My wife and I recently returned to Huatulco for our eighth time for a two week vacation. When we booked the trip we decided to change it up a bit. Each of our previous trips were spent in the main tourist area near Santa Cruz and La Crucecita, so for the first week we chose to go outside the main...

I was there with my family for a week, and this hotel is just amazing. The service is great, the food is unreal, they change the dinner menu every day to give you the catch of the day.. the breakfast has freshly homemade bread with homemade jam.. the rooms are beautiful, spacious, and with a gorgeous view of the ocean....

This was our first trip to Mexico and what an introduction - we are hooked! spent our days on the beach gazing at the waves, swimming and eating wonderful, fresh, local food. The seared tuna was melt-in-your mouth delicious. We had a spacious room on the third and top floor of this charming hotel with a heart-stopping view of the...

If you want to unplug and surrender to a paradisal environment, guided by turquoises beach waters and white sand during the day, and bright stars during the night, Manta Raya is a must go. This tiny 7-room hotel gracefully merges with its environment, and embraces the best of textile design in the region in its rooms, locally-produced products in its...

We spent a week at Manta Raya over Christmas and were so happy with our stay we booked our return on the spot. We also sensed that Manta Raya is one of those places that will get noticed more. That's because Reto, the owner, has created a lovely, quiet, relaxed spot that accommodates couples, families, solo travelers -- and with...

Had read about Manta Raya in the NYTimes in 2015 and have been trying to get there ever since. We finally made it, and our stay far exceeded every expectation! As noted in other reviews it is a bit of a bumpy ride on some dirt road to get there, but we did not find that off putting with the...

I booked this fantastic place for a small (2 days) personal retreat before meeting with friends for a 10 day trip in Mexico. I was very impressed with everything. The remote location promotes calm, resourcing and was a major change of scenery to escape our cold Canadian winter. Installations are very clean, 5star staff and the food is simply perfect...

Food was delicious. Had an awesome tostada (?) soup to start, a spicy fish dish, and salty butterscotch ice-cream for desert. The coconut shrimp was also a hit with my group as well as the chocolate cake. This restaurant had a reputation amongst my female companions for it's outstanding deserts; it did not disappoint. The hosts accent also added to...

As visitors to the Salchi Bay community up the hill from the Manta Raya Hotel, we ate at the Manta Raya Hotel restaurant a few times per week over the period of one month. We could not stay away as the food and service are exceptional! The cuisine is inventive, beautifully prepared and presented, from appetizer to main course to...
