We stayed 2 nights here during our visit of the wine region of La Rioja. The rooms were great. Large comfortable and clean. It is located in a small town maybe 10 minutes from Haro. Very picturesque. We highly recommend you eat dinner in their restaurant one night - try the risotto. Breakfast in the morning was very god and... More

If you are on your way from La Rioja to Vallodolid and need a break from sightseeing, this is a charming place to stop, but not a necessity if you are pressed for time. Besides the fact that the hotel is a former palace with very spacious and royally decorated rooms, it's very quiet, the breakfast pastries are almost completely... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights with friends. Where to start? Once a monastery and palace. What a jewel. We were greeted by the very friendly and helpful host and shown to our room, Picazabal, wow, absolutely beautiful decor with a balcony overlooking the front garden. The walls have amazing traditional Spanish tiles, so pretty. The attention to... More

Clean, Outstanding Location, Haro well worth a visit. The Restaurant was closed on the day we arrived but I'm sure it won't disappoint. The building was like a old Manor house good safe parking on site.

The hotel is in an old village outside Haro, Zarraton, around 10 minutes drive. The village does not have much attraction apart from possibly a very old church. The Palacio makes up for it, however, being a glorious old building which has been sympathetically restored. They have even managed to discretely put in a modern lift. We stayed in the... More

My wife and I stayed here in September 2015 on our way from Santander. We arrived fairly late but the proprietor and his wife gave us a very warm welcome and we were shown to a beautiful room overlooking the courtyard. We had a superb evening meal with local wine followed by a really comfortable night sleep. The owners could... More

We loved everything about this hotel. Exceptionally clean, comfortable, welcoming and helpful staff in a traditional building. The facilities were very modern, though. Everything had been carefully thought out, even down to the extensive range of toiletries supplied in the bathroom, and bottled water in the minibar. Excellent breakfast, that set us up for the day. The restaurant was not... More

Hotel is located in a quiet and sleepy area of La Rioja, Zarraton. However, it is easy drive of 15 to 30 mins to various attractions, vineyards in Haro or the capital Logronos. The hotel owners though can't speak a word of English, they are warm and charming, making our stay comfortable and memorable. Breakfast was fantastic, good selection cakes... More

Stayed 3 nights and could stay more. As the property is located only few kilometres from Haro perfect location for day trips around Rioja. Only 5 rooms beautifully restored with the lift to the upper floors. Very quiet and comfortable . The hosts are so nice and helpful, always asking through the "mobile interpreter" how we were and if we... More

The owners were amazing. They welcomed us when we arrived around 9.30pm. Although the restaurant was closed they gave us a lovely bottle of Rioja and nibbles in the main lounge. We sat with these in leather sofas, listening to music surrounded by stone walls, beams and a great ambience. Definitely recommend for a few nights.
