We stayed here twice in one week and felt at ease with how clean the room was as well as the entire staff and the guests wearing masks. When it looked like we might need another roll of paper towels during our stay, an unwrapped extra roll was provided so we wouldn't have to interact with anyone. There were also alcohol-based wipes which I felt was a very thoughtful detail. We'll be sure to stay here again when we pass through Indianapolis.
Love these hotels. We’ve stayed in southern Il and love the cleanliness and safety of this hotel. Staff was pleasant and helpful and the location is great. We had a corner room which had a different layout, but perfect for our stay passing through.
This hotel is in a great location in downtown Indianapolis that is great for visitors. It's just a block from Fountain Square and a couple of blocks from Massachusetts Avenue, where numerous eating and drinking options can be found. There are self-parking garage options within a block as well. The initial impression wasn't the best, when the automatic doors wouldn't open. Eventually (and it was a bit of a wait), a front desk attendant had them opened for us. The sign indicates that the door is locked after 11 p.m., but the front desk attendant (who was excellent), revealed that with lower occupancy in the hotel, they've been keeping them locked at all hours -- and that's all well and good, but put up a sign (and better yet, add a bell). If the valet parking/bellman wouldn't have stepped out, it likely wouldn't have been an issue. The hotel takes up the lower portion of the building, with residences above it (separate entrance), so views are limited. There are sleeping rooms on the first floor, which is very odd for a downtown hotel, and I can't imagine the view (or lack thereof). The rooms were nice, modern and comfortable, typical of a Home2, with a mini kitchen, complete with stainless steel (near full-size) refrigerator and microwave oven; a living area, a very comfortable bed; a large television; a functional workspace with a cool desk chair; and a decent size bathroom with a walk-in bathroom with a sliding glass door. The room was also very clean, complete with a "Hilton CleanStay" seal on the outside of the door, of which one side just came off (and could be reattached), rendering it pretty much meaningless and nothing more than a silly matter of optics. If that sticker is needed to tell me that the room is clean, that's just silly. Lighting in both the room and the bathroom was better than average for hotels. Breakfast was a disappointment. It's pretty clear that plenty of hotels, including this one, are using the Covid-19 health crisis as an excuse for offering less selection -- and they certainly did, including a pre-made breakfast sandwich that was microwaved, and not good. Sorry Hilton, but if a rural Best Western can safely greater selection and better quality, that's an issue that meant a score of four instead of five.…
Great place to stay in downtown Indy, particularly for longer stay. Location is close to so many attractions. Staff was great and very responsive. Very accommodating when leaving early became necessary due to cancellation of events due to coronavirus. Would definitely stay there again!
I have stayed at Home2's before and this hotel was just like the others I have been to....courteous staff, fair price and great location. Room was spacious and clean. Loved the walk-in shower! Great location to all the downtown activities!
