They should have closed for the remodel rather than making sure a bunch of people will never stay THERE and are now skeptical of the Holiday Inn Express brand. First, the good. The breakfast is great. The bed is relatively comfortable. However, only one (of two) elevators is operational, and that one is filthy! The remodel creates a really large bathroom without a place for a toilet roll holder(?) The bathroom light switch is nowhere near the door and there is no nightlight. In a two queen bed room, the only light and table is between the beds and there is 12” between one bed and the wall. Housekeeping apparently feels free to adjust the thermostat for that 5 minutes they’re in your room. That way you’ll be sure to return to a cold room in January. This hotel is close to my family and I’ve stayed here several times in the past but I’ll be looking elsewhere in the future.

Health inspector should pay a visit here. I cannot even believe this hotel is allowed to remain open, much less with the Holiday Inn Express name. We arrived to find the entire lobby gutted. I mean gutted. Would not be a problem had they disclosed this, but they did not and we were very surprised to find the hotel in this condition. Upon pulling back the sheets, we found that there was no mattress pad/cover between the sheet and the mattress. Gross. We requested a mattress pad and were first told the maid forgot it, and later told that they had none. Gross. The sheet had a blood spot on it and a hair. I do not believe the sheets had been changed from the previous guests. Gross. So filthy that I slept in my clothes and did not take a shower. Well, I really didn’t sleep at all b/c the heater sounded like a jet engine taking off when it kicked in so we couldn’t even use the heater. Open hole in wall behind fridge. Mirror was extremely dirty with spray etc. Hallway exit doors roped off with yellow caution tape. One elevator not working. Yes, it was that bad. The manager was walking around but failed to address our issues, just left it to the desk clerk. Manager did not appear to really care about anything. Very strange experience. Worst hotel experience of my life.

This property is currently renovating... Which the website did not mention at all. If I didn’t use a free night and had to pay for this, I would be even more ticked off. First issue - requested a double, got a king size - resolved. Second issue - go to put my son to sleep pull back the covers and the bed had been remade. Hard on the pillows and in the bed. Even blue fuzzies from someone pajamas. Second bed similar. - resolved.. the desk clerk changed our room. Third issue - they were cutting tile until 2 am. When I went to call the phone is not working and had to call on my cellphone to the hotel. Then I’m waken up by hammering next door at 7:00 am. Called to the desk off my cellphone again. Hammering stopped for 10 minutes and then they start again. I give up. If you are going to sell rooms during a renovation there should be quiet hours. But not this place. Yes just hope I don’t fall asleep driving, if so I’m totally putting this hotel management at fault. Quality check was poor and no concern for the customer. You stay at holiday inns because you know what to expect... don’t expect that here. Lesson learned.. lost my free night and a good nights sleep. Horrible.

We stayed the night of Dec. 20th, 2019. The entire hotel is under construction, and months behind, according to a front desk employee. There was no mention of this on the website at booking. When we arrived, we had to navigate around a sheeted off lobby area and side step tile that had been freshly laid. There was grout on the interior elevator handle, and a single cracked tile left at the entrance to the pool, which would have hurt bare feet entering the swimming area! We didn't dare let our kiddos in the pool area after seeing that. Also, no hot tub, as advertised (looks like it had been filled in).Our room was very recently upgraded, which was nice, but done hastily and without attention to detail. Desk employee was kind but couldn't even confirm that our room had the beds we booked. Room had no phone to call the front desk, only 1 trash can (in the bathroom and not where one was needed, by the coffee maker) and basic TV channels didn't work.Very disappointing. Would not recommend.

I'd like to start by saying Holiday Inn is an IHG property and I am a previous IHG employee. I booked my room for 3 nights. Walked into the hotel to check in and its completely destroyed due to "ground floor construction". I didn't think much of it, figured it would affect my room. One of two elevators are broken. Pool closed and room filled with construction equipment. Paint and trash all thru the hallways. My room has dust, hair, dirt all over. Microwave and fridge were filthy. Chose to call front desk and ask what the issue was and low and behold my phone in my room doesn't work. Not a single ice machine in the building is plugged in or working. Nor the vending machines. The best part is at 7 am I get woken up construction in my neighboring room. Saws and what appeared to be jackhammers shaking my bed, knocking things off my bed side table. I call front desk and they tell me pretty much get over it. They are doing construction. When I tell them it isnt the ground floor construction I'm concerned with, it's the fact I feel as if I'm in the middle of a war zone.. I asked why they would place someone in a room next door to that. I was told they would come up here and see what was going on and speak to me. No one ever did. When I called back to speak to a manager. One was not and would not be available. Best part of my second morning here.., got woke up to a random person walking into my room, asking if I needed services. I quickly jumped out of bed and kicked them out of my room and shut my door. I am writing this review here, I will write one on Yelp, the IHG site itself. I will write and speak about this to any and everyone I feel needs to be alerted. I've never been so dissatisfied in my life. Don't stay at this hotel.
