Explained everything in a understanding manner, he was really ready to take care of the services I needed. Brought my vehicle over to me in a quick manner, and I really appreciated the placement of my vehicle in the valet parking knowing my vehicle was in a safe place. Great job.
Furniture worn out. Scratches and dents everywhere. Walls full of abrasions. Room smelled terrible , Bathroom was institutional. Hotel desperately needs a revamp. Most College dorms are in better shape than these rooms
We booked the Omniseverin in downtown Indianapolis as a convenient place to stay for the Indy 500. The hotel is about a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport, traffic permitting. The hotel looks impressive from the outside , a classic, imposing standalone building. The communal areas harked back to days gone by with the classic decor and large chandeliers. The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown Indy. Restaurants, bars and shopping all close by. Check in was easy and the team on the desk and the door were helpful and friendly. Throughout our stay they provided us with bottles of water and guidance. Our room was fairly dated with discoloured curtains and torn wallpaper, however everything functioned and the bed was comfy. TV, iron, safe were all good. The room was cleaned daily. I only ate breakfast once at the hotel, which was from a standard buffet arrangement, nothing too special. Bar service in the evening was painfully slow and not overly friendly. Walk over the road to Kilroys bar, the service and food are excellent there. On race day we pre booked an Uber for 6:00AM which got us to the track by 6:30. Traffic was already building, so we were glad not to have left any later. On our return to the hotel, due to road closures, we couldn’t get either a Taxi or Uber back for two hours. If using this method of transport, stay at the track for at least two hours post race, or grab a meal in the town of Speedway, you won’t go very far straight after the race. We eventually made it back to the hotel by 7:30PM. Overall the hotel is in a great location and has some great colleagues on the door and at the desk. Me and family were very pleased with the friendly and helpful valet gentlemen. Two specifically need to be recognized:Alex W and Jason E. Both these guys were great. The Omni is an old landmark to Indianapolis and it’s wonderful that people like these two make it even more enjoyable.
I stayed at the Omni Severin Downtown Indianapolis and from check in to check out it was one mishap after another. This property at one time was well managed and well taken care of. I stayed two nights at a cost of over $700 just for the room and valet parking. My room was worn and shabby. One of the chairs had holes in it. Mold around the bathtub caulking and both the coffee maker and TV remote did not work. They did replace both. When I received my car from the valet he did not secure the back gate on my car. I pulled out of the hotel and got maybe a half block down the street and the back gate flew open and my luggage flew out of the car onto the street. Thankfully there wasn’t a car or motorcycle behind me or there could have been a serious accident. My large suitcase suffered permanent damage. My entire experience at this once fine expensive hotel was just awful. I cannot recommend this hotel at all. With all the competition in Downtown Indianapolis I highly suggest you avoid this property. I had requested a phone call from the General Manager. As of three days later, I’m still waiting on the call. Our family spent a lot of money with the Omni as my daughter had her wedding reception here and this is why we were all at the hotel.…
Lovely stay! To everyone traveling with pets, do be aware there is a non-refundable $125 cleaning fee for the hotel. It is probably advertised on the website but it took me a bit by surprise. Staff was incredibly friendly and hotel was sparkling clean, Severin Bar is definitely worth a visit as well.

Was greeted upon arrival with friendly and attentive valet service. Check in was smooth and welcoming. Hotel was very nice with top notch service. Room was clean and very comfortable bed. My only issue is, although the rooms have a thermostat. The climate control is at the discretion of the hotel not the occupants. Would probably stay again but with a space heater if it’s winter time
We stayed here for one night for an event. I was super nervous after reading many of these reviews, but I have to say, I don’t get it. Everything was super nice, quick and easy. The hotel was clean..I mean so clean you could smell the cleaning products. Our room was nice and clean as well. Beds aren’t the comfiest and double beds are small, but nothing to get all out of sorts about.
