We spent 2 nights at this hotel and had an enjoyable stay. I chose this hotel because of the 1920 Pullman rail cars that are converted into rooms. We stayed in 018. The room was clean and the atmosphere of being on a train car added to the stay. It is in an active train station so when trains pass through, your room does vibrate just slightly. The only downside was due to lack of travelers the hotel bar was closed. It would have been nice to have a nightcap after returning from dinner. Special thanks to Ms. Hicks at the front desk for great service since housekeeping is limited. Evan was helpful at check in.

Anxiety filled visit to Indy. In the middle of a pandemic Indy doesn’t require masks and neither does IHG hotels. Huge disappointment. however it seemed hotel did space out guest rooms and had hand sanitizer at entrance. Glad pool was closed as it would have been as crowded as the bars and streets. Pictures deceive, it is small. Hotel was interesting and clean. But nothing above and beyond during a pandemic. No exterior Windows in this hotel. All windows face hallways. Train car rooms were interesting to see. Whole room shakes when trains come through. Most notable: the midnight and 6 am trains. In town to drop student at IU PUI.

Hi Kris F, I am glad you left feedback. Thanks for giving us a try! While you were impressed with our cleanliness, I am concerned to learn about your disappointment regarding the mask policy. I know it is upsetting that we did not meet your expectations in terms of the room size and the lack of exterior windows, including the disturbance caused by the trains that pass by. Trust that I have informed our team regarding your review to make sure we always deliver satisfactory services. Looking forward to welcoming you back! Cheers, June A. Case Manager IHGService

We have stayed at the Crown Plaza 5 times in the last 2 1/2 years when we attend a twice yearly conference. We keep coming back due to the excellent experience we have had each time. The staff is friendly, the rooms have met expectations, the atmosphere is different than a typical hotel with the historic train cars and people from the past statues around the hotel, The hotel is not too big but has a restaurant and bar which we usually visit for breakfast once each stay. It is connected to the Convention Center and is a perfect location for us. The trains don't bother us.

Hotel was clean. You can hear the trains at night. This was our second visit to the hotel. I will visit again. Indy has a lot of things to go and see. You can walk to the Centre mall, bankers field, or many bars and restaurants.

We stayed here for a gymnastics competition. We can not wait to go back. The kids loved the trains going through the hallways. The hotel is attached to the convention center so that was super convenient to get to our meet. The STAFF was AMAZING. From the front desk staff the bell hop to the valet guys in the front. A huge shout out to TINY!! Tiny gave us so great information and history about the hotel and area. He is the most friendliest person ever. It was one of girls Birthdays and he surprised them with cookie and milk! He was also very generous with other surprises for the girls. He drove the shuttle as well and we were always so happy when we saw his smiling face there to pick us up. #tinys2livecrew
