Reserved and paid for a room on Best Western site for multiple nights. When we arrived there were no rooms available. The front desk told us the hotel overbooked leaving us and several other families without a room. They made an arrangement with another hotel, 20 minutes out of the area for us to stay, but for only one night. When we arrived back to BW the next day, we were told by Brian, the very rude front desk clerk that there was still no room avail. After alot of back and forth we ended up with a room for that night. The only reason I didn't give this hotel a Terrible is because of a few housekeepers that saved the day. They understood our frustration and cleaned a room for us to stay. Thank you Lu, Aretha and the other lady for making things work.

The front desk staff was very unprofessional and unorganized my room was not ready to check in until at least 9:30 PM, the room reeks of weed there was a ton of noise from the hallway and other rooms from yelling screaming knocking running in my music playing. The rooms were not cleaned properly the beds were half ass made there was hair on the sink, shower and toilet. If it wasn't so late in the night I ultimately would have stayed somewhere else but I was left with limited options.

I’m already aware I will get the same copy and paste response from management as everyone else. The rooms were disgusting and not stocked. No trash cans, no washcloths, floors were so gross I wore shoes the whole time. Staff was great though.

BW+ in other cities have been very clean, polite staff, nice amenities. We came for one night of NCAA games based on the walking distance to Banker's Life Fieldhouse. When we arrived we were greeted by a non-uniformed staffer who had been fully laying down eating pizza out of the box on the lobby sofa. She did the entire checkin process without a mask despite signage saying it's required and posters promoting the health/safety measures of the hotel. She did casually mention that "she didn't know where her mask went" but it was disconcerting. Her printer wasn't working so we couldn't complete any check-in paperwork, and the lobby printer for guests' use was out of all ink so we could not print any documents we needed, either. We rode the tiny, dirty elevator to our room which smelled heavily of smoke, had rumpled bedding, dirty bathroom floor, broken TP dispenser hanging off the wall, and hair in the bathtub. We went down to see if we could change rooms but she informed us there were no other clean rooms available. She apologized for the smell and gave us an ozone machine to help with the odor. We were running late for our night's event and were tempted to plug in the ozone machine and leave, but took a moment to Google it b/c we remembered vaguely that they can be dangerous. It turns out they are extremely hazardous to humans and should never be used when a person is going to occupy the space the machine is in. We left our bags piled on the room desk and decided to try again when we got back from the event. When we came in later a different staffer had just arrived, she was uniformed and polite. We explained our situation and she quickly moved us to a room that smelled better and was more clean, though the tile flooring was dirty (could have been stained). We also gave the ozone machine back and explained how dangerous it is; she said she wasn't aware they had it and had never heard of or seen one before. We only had four hours to stay until rising for an early morning flight so we made the best of it. We were shocked at the difference between this BW+ and others we have stayed in across the US. Thin walls meant the man next door who was sneezing interrupted our short sleep many times. Final note - Though it is walking distance to nice restaurants and other attractions/events downtown, it's alongside a parking garage and empty lot, not a pleasant walk. Do not stay here! We will hesitate before booking BW+ again. Not the reliable brand we had experienced up to this point in other travels.

We checked in on Friday 3/19 for the March Madness tournament. I expected to pay more due to all the teams being at the tournament but also expected a decent stay. We checked in approximately around 1:30pm. We quickly realized we didn’t have a shower curtain so we called down to front desk. We left the hotel around 2:30 and still no curtain so we let the front desk know. When we retained after the games around 12:30am we still did not have a shower curtain. We called down again and they finally brought one up but we had to install it! The next morning we realized we also had no garbage can or hair dryer. We called again and received nothing. My husband went to the front desk and got the hair dryer but they would get us a garbage can. We never did receive the garbage can and then the power in our room went out. We called and went to the front desk and they were going to check it out. After an hour finally their maintenance person said sorry I don’t know what is wrong. He said I’ll get back to you. We waited a bit longer and finally had to ask them to move us as we had to get ready as we had tickets for more games. The service here is horrible! For the amount of money we spent I would have expected so much better. Being a travel agent I am appalled that this is how business is being handled when our industry is already hurting so bad!
