Typical business JW Marriott. Overlooks an amphitheater and baseball stadium for the AAA team. Within walking distance of the state capital, at least one mall and several restaurants. Non Marriott members will pay $15-$18 for in room internet as is the case in many business class Marriott. $47 per day parking in the attached garage. As of 8/30/21 do not expect much in the way of perks for those travelers with status. Concierge lounge -closed, free breakfast - no, voucher for $10 off of a $28 eggs and bacon meal. Breakfast service slow. Suspect staffing issues. No hand sanitizer to be seen, no welcome bottle of water etc. Staff is wearing masks. Titanium Elite receive 750 points in leu of maid service/day and 1,000 points/day for lack of concierge lounge. Requested upgrade to suite using one of the 5 suite upgrades earned each year but the request was denied. Denied even when there were open suites available (end of building halls on high floors). I understand the complicated issues with COVID but Marriott just as every other corporate entity is using it as an excuse to cut customer comforts while charging the pre-covid prices. Hotel was not filled but with the conferences ongoing, capacity was reasonable for this site. Will not likely be back as it wasn't remarkable enough to draw me back for repeat stays.

Room Tip: High Floor for better views of the city but don't count on a suite upgrade even for Titanium...

Eric was amazing. We went to High Velocity for dinner and ended up sitting at the bar. Eric was great at recommending food, drinks, and dessert! It was an amazing experience and more than I expected from a hotel bar/restaurant. Great for appetizers/meal/drinks!

I’m writing on behalf of my parents. My parents stayed at your hotel on 8/26/2021 with a group. It was also my Dad’s birthday, so they were very much looking forward to their stay in your hotel. I was saddened to learn their experience was miserable. I personally called your hotel directly to book their reservation. My Mom is in a wheelchair and required a handicapped accessible room, which includes a bathroom large enough for a wheelchair, grab bars in the bathroom, and a shower seat. I asked for all this when I reserved the room. I also told them it was my Dad’s birthday. The reservation agent told me it was not possible to reserve a handicapped room since they were part of a group and told me the person reserving rooms for our group would have to call back on a Monday. The person reserving rooms for our group called back on a Monday and jumped through several hoops to ensure my parents had a handicapped-accessible room. My parents stayed in room 1907 and the room was not handicapped-accessible. I helped my parents with their check-in and the process was lengthy and so we never asked if the room was indeed handicapped accessible. We did; however, ask where the hospitality table was for our group as we needed to pick up our Indians tickets there, and the girl had no idea. My parents went immediately to the Indians game and came back late at night and were too tired to argue about needing a handicapped room, so they went without. Room 1907 was too small for Mom’s wheelchair (and she brought her much-smaller transport chair just in case it was an issue). The bathroom was too small for her wheelchair and there were no grab bars or a shower seat. The room was too small for her to maneuver her wheelchair. They were impressed by the beautiful views, but the lack of a handicapped-accessible room made their stay miserable. Please correct this so the next person doesn’t have the same experience.

We had a great first experience here. While all the staff were exceptional, Heather at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay the best! All of our requests and needs were met without hesitation!
