Phenomenal...after hours on the road, we were hopeful the Ironworks Hotel would offer an opportunity to simply relax and catch our breath. We got the relaxation we were looking for, but the experience of the hotel took our breath away!! From the doorman to the front desk staff, everyone we encountered in the hotel was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was AWESOME...it's larger than a normal hotel room with very high ceilings, making the room seem even larger. Everything in the room was well-thought out, from the large wooden counter space to the seating area by the windows. I'm not sure the size of the TV, but it was at least 70 inches. It was so big it felt like we were in the theater. Ordering room service proved a wise decision as the food was as good as anything we've had at any of the best restaurants. A perfect sleep was a guarantee given the superb beds and absolute BLACK OUT shades. Ideal. The following morning we were ready to head off on another long day's drive. The hardest part of the day proved leaving the Ironworks shower with it's rain shower feature. Brilliant!! Everything about our stay at the Ironworks justified it's top rating in the Indianapolis area. We can't wait for another long car ride, just to stop there, again. NOTE: COVID-19 mitigation was well executed throughout the hotel.

We were initially very pleased with the hotel, e.g. the staff was friendly, the location great, and the style was unique, clean and fresh. At check-in, the person said that she had info to provide, but both printers were out. Maybe this info would have assisted. There was absolutely no printed information in the room about services offered at the hotel. Nothing about room service, fitness facilities, business services, etc. Strange, but as our days were planned it was not an issue. We left the next morning at about 9:00, returning at about 4:15. The room had not been touched, i.e. trash not removed, coffee mugs dirty and coffee not replenished, bed not made, no tidying of the bathroom, etc. I called Guest Services and the check-in clerk from the previous day brought up coffee. I explained the issue of no housekeeping, and she offered to remove the trash. She offered to send housekeeping, but it had to be soon as they would soon leave for the day. That was an issue as we needed to shower and get ready for dinner with friends. About 40 minutes later, housekeeping came by, unannounced. My wife was not ready and I still had to shower, so she could not come in then. I asked if she could return after we left in about 30 minutes, but I don't think she understood and she just left without a word. We came back about 10:00, and of course, the room was not touched. Very disappointing, for this is a new property and not inexpensive--I expected more. When I checked out the person asked how the stay was, and I expressed my displeasure. She asked if housekeeping came back after I could not admit them when we were getting ready--of course, they did not. She said that she would be certain to inform the manager. Nothing was heard from management, and they had both email and telephone numbers. The hotel then sent a review request and I explained the situation and disappointment. The review asked if I wanted contact from management and I answered affirmatively, again providing email and phone. Nothing has been received from management. So, as a retired consultant, a comment to the owners--management inattention and refusal to even listen to customers will seep into the staff, service will deteriorate further, and the property's reputation will suffer. Pity, for there could be so much to be great about this hotel, but they do not care about customers, that is evident. In the hotel's review, they asked if we used or liked many services the hotel offered. But as stated, there was no way to know what services the hotel offered. For the friendly employees, I hope management gets their act together, for Indy has several great hotel options--and we will not be back.

We had an unexpected stay here after getting a flat tire late on a Sunday evening while driving back to Chicago. We had to stay overnight and I chose this hotel based on its distance to the car dealership and the good reviews. So glad I did! This place is so warm, inviting and clean (which is a priority for me)! Upon our arrival, the girl at the desk who checked us in was so gracious. It was her first week and she offered to heat up my dinner in the microwave in the back. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Indy!

Lovely hotel, great restaurant, etc. Wasn't the urban experience I expected but good enough for my traveling needs. I'm with my dogs and they like it as well but the dog treat bowl is always empty when we walk by. Mainly though, I was wigged out that hotel staff were not masked or protected from me by plexiglas. I'm a few thousand miles into my trip and this is the first hotel, gas station, etc I've encountered where there were no such precautions. The staff offered me sanitizer, which was nice, but the disease is primarily airborne. Restaurant staff (different company) and evening valet were appropriately masked but not the hotel staff. Geronimo Hospitality Group, which owns the hotel, has a card in the room touting health and safety measures, but it strikes a chord of tokenism.

Recently stayed at the Ironworks Hotel in Indianapolis while on vacation. Very cool. Loved the decor and the staff was great. In a high-end part of Indy close to many restaurants and stores. Will definitely stay again.
