Very nice location downtown near good food and things to see all within walking distance. Really charming old architecture with a hint of modern. Nice sized rooms given the age of the building and extremely comfortable beds. My only complaint would be the showers had somewhat scalding water at times. I would have to let the water run 10-15 minutes at a time to cool, spoke to the front desk who stated the engineers could not determine why but it happened to multiple people.
This downtown hotel provided just what we wanted: a weekend away that felt glamorous and metropolitan. Entering the lobby, you will notice in addition to the industrial modern decor, a fragrance that you won’t soon forget. We were informed it is a diffuser by Malin + Goetz, called LM002 - named like the tail of an aircraft - and reminiscent of expensive nights out and European holidays. The staff here are kind and helpful. Our room was gorgeously appointed. We would stay here again and again.
We stayed for one night. The room was very clean and updated throughout all be it small. The bathroom was nice and modern and it was clean as well. The only downside was the view. The view was horrible, we looked out on an HVAC system for either the hotel or another building. The system blocked our whole view. We also had no robes in our room. Glad we didn't need them but it would have been nice to have them in case. It would have been a nice little extra touch of taking care of their customers. When we checked in the internet was down and we had to wait a little longer while the people at the desk figured out what to do. I didn't mind because they were super nice about it and they have no control over the internet. I would stay here again and recommend the hotel based on the employees and how clean everything was however, be sure to request a room with a decent view.…
I was driving back from Virginia and after 36 hours solid, I was just not able to continue, so I looked for rooms in Indianapolis, a good stopping point on my trip and there were a few available, but the Le Meridien's are usually at the top of my list along with JW's (the JW was way too expensive that night). I found the hotel clean, elegant, fancy, oldschool but modern twists. My room was astounding, large, on the top floor and super comfortable. The bar is really nice and S&S Restaurant has great filling and tasting food. The public area is really my kind of laid back but also upscale area. Then there are the secret rooms! Katherine was super helpful on my checkin and so gracious to show me the Cask room and the Steve McQueen room. She was a delight. The city was insanely busy, but Keith was able to valet my car and remember me out of a list of 60 people. He's a gem to this property.…
Hello, when we arrived to the hotel we were very excited to get in and stay as we heard decent things about the place. We pulled up and I had to yell to the bellhop we are checking in. He then said ok and asked if we needed a cart. I said yes and he rolled one out to us, then left. I was a little surprised as they work on tips and helping us out would of been appreciated but we did it ourselves and wheeled it in to the check in desk. Then nice lady with a mask checked us in and said "happy anniversary" nice touch then said we upgraded you to a deluxe suite. We were excited to see what that was. Well, we ended up going to room 508 and as we got off the elevator we were hit with a strong smell of weed . Now, I am ok with the smell but my wife is not, it was very strong and the entire floor reeked, we then went to room 508 and it was so small, hardy a suite. So I traveled back down and explained the issue and the nice lady with the mask moved us to room 909 and apologized. The room we went to was better but small and had a window in the bathroom, which was weird but we then went to bed. The bed was comfortable. We then woke up the next day and decided to go to the zoo, asked the front desk for our car and they brought it out super fast, which was great, but the inside of my wife's car smelled like weed. It was strong. My guess is one of the bellhops smoked a "J" while getting cars. Overall the stay was a 3 out of 10, very pricey for sub standard service. I would like to know how we can get the weed odor out of my wife's car. I'm sure it will dissipate but the drive home to Michigan was a little nauseating to say the least. The plus is a worker named Kevin, he was another bellhop that went above and beyond with his interaction with us.…
Lovely hotel. Upgraded to a 2 room suite. Separate living area from bedroom. Full body shower in the bathroom. Lots of windows in room. Staff was welcoming and extremely pleasant. Had breakfast at Spoke and Spoon in the hotel. Delicious. Great location to walk around downtown Indy
It's been several years since overnighting in Indy. This weekend we had the pleasure of staying at the Le Meridien again. The service is exceptional. A breath of fresh air really. The rooms are still comfortable and the whole place is immaculate. I loved that the SPG signage was still on the walls and TV directory. SPG properties are still the best in the Marriott system. Breakfast at Spoke & Steele was OK.
Overall the hotel is well designed and staff were nice but I was overall underimpressed. It is worth noting the beds were fantastic though. 1) only 1 of the USB outlet chargers worked and we did not have enough well placed outlets for 2 people in the room. There is a whole 2nd night stand without an outlet. 2) there was no bathroom fan and you could hear all the bathroom habits of the other person. Not great for sharing a room at a convention. 3) someone set off the fire alarm and so we had a 530 am wake up and then constant buzzing all that day so you couldn't come back to nap. No money taken off the bill for this. 4) the restaurant hours suck for someone attending a convention. I only got to eat there the last day and by exception. It was fantastic food. 5) during covid it would be nice to have wrapped disposable cups in room, not reusable ones. That is super gross. …
The staff was pleasant, professional, and accommodating. Our daughter, who arrived early on a Friday, morning was able to check in to her room and relax before the rest of the family arrived. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff did a fine job of making sure we had an enjoyable stay. Will definitely stat again.
I am rating this at a neutral 5. I paid for a King Corner Room. According to the picture on Expedia - this picture being the reason I chose to pay the extra for the "corner" room - showed 2 walls with windows and a high level excellent view. Upon arrival we were given a 3rd floor "corner king". 2 Windows on one wall. When I called down to the desk thinking there was a misunderstanding on our room placement I was told "You do have a corner room, the picture you're talking about is false advertising from Expedia. That picture is of 1 room we have on the 9th floor.". So I could have paid for a regular king room, and ended up 1 door over from our room 307 - and had the EXACT same view and layout... for less. It was very disappointing they didn't offer to do anything -upgrade, price adjustment, etc- when they made it very clear they knew we got shorted on this situation from our expectation. Water bottle left on night stand from previous occupants & a lot of dust/dirt build up in common areas under furniture and cords.…
