I bought tickets for my family to spend the day at the splash park. However, my kids have gluten and dairy allergies. Before we made the hour and a half drive from Louisville, I called just to make sure we were allowed to bring a lunch in for our kids. They said they had gluten free options at their restaurants, but could not guarantee that dishes would not be cross-contaminated. They didn't mention dairy free options. They did also say that we could bring our lunch and leave it in a cooler in the car and eat out there. I felt like after spending a hundred dollars on tickets, we should not have to be forced to eat in the parking lot. I asked for a refund, and instead of just allowing us to bring in two PB&J sandwiches, they refunded our online purchase. Clearly, they're not interested in meeting customer's needs, or making a good first impression. We will not be going to this water park, which is a shame, because I would have eaten a lot of their food myself, and I would have likely taken the family many more times.

We love the big splash adventure resort! We come to french lick often and always stay here when we bring our kids. The indoor waterpark is perfect, our kids LOVE it! I love that they have smaller waterslides in addition to the larger ones so younger kids can enjoy too. The room has always been clean and comfortable. The restaurant and gift shop is also very nice. I would highly recommend this place!

Our family reserved a room for a weekend in February. When we arrived in our room we were shocked with the cleanliness of the room. There was food inside and behind of the pull out bed. The toilet seat was broken in one of the restrooms. All of the furniture was dingy and outdated. Inside of the light fixture there appeared to be dead bugs or something else that was pretty disgusting. The coffee pot STILL had coffee with MOLD inside. The microwave was not clean and the smell was disgusting while in use. With the lack of cleanliness we were moved into a second room for the night. The water park needs to be remodeled. Not only did it look and smell old but it hasn’t been updated at all and has rust and dust everywhere. Breakfast was just okay. It included overcooked sausage links and dry pancakes. If you are looking for a clean space for your family to sleep this is NOT the place. If I could give this hotel 0 stars that’s just what I’d do.

Our family had three rooms and had an excellent weekend. We knew we could arrive at 12 and use the water park, but not check in until 4. We arrived shortly after 12 and our rooms were ready! Everyone we had contact with on staff was so helpful and friendly; they seem to really enjoy serving people. The common areas and rooms were very clean. Rooms were a little dated and worn, but very clean. The water park is amazing! Our grandkids had so much fun in every area of the water park. Lines for the slides went quickly, and the kids played all day and never got bored. How could they? So much to do! It was also not overwhelmingly large, so their parents could keep track of them easily. Food at the restaurant was decently and priced OK. Free breakfast could have used bacon instead of small slices of ham. On the website and posted on a sign in the facility is a warning about the air quality being affected by the chemicals used in the water. We seniors with dry eyes and slight breathing problems did notice it, but our family member with asthma had no problems. We were looking for an active fun family getaway, and Big Splash Adventure really came through.

Check-in was easy. Our room was on the 5th floor away from the water park so we didn’t have too much noise. The beds were old and the pillows were the worst I’ve ever slept on. The TV picture was poor. We stayed while the NFL playoffs were going on and we wanted to catch some of the games. Breakfast was fair, no complaints there. I would recommend arriving to breakfast early like we did to avoid a big crowd and line to be seated. My boys had a good time at the water park. We had to exit the lazy river early in the day because a child pooped. About an hour later, people were permitted to enter. We took a break and decided to return about 6:00 so that the crowd would die down. 30 minutes into our second trip to the water park, someone puked in the lazy river and they shut it down for the remainder of the day. While I know this isn’t fault of Big Splash, it’s still disappointing. The lazy river is the outlet to two of the water slides so they couldn’t be used either. So half of the attractions for my 10 and 12 year old boys were shut down. I think this will be our first and last trip here. No terrible, but it’s very pricey for what you get.
