I've been coming here to this Jellystone Park for 5+ years with my kids. We always have a blast. I like the changes under the new management. The arcade is actually an arcade again! I love that mini golf and water slides are included with the price now. I stay in a cottage so I can't review the actual RV/Camper side of things but cottages are always well maintained and I love the porch swing. The prices at Ranger Station were higher this year (2022) but worth it because I can see upgrades/improvements within the park and let's be real here, the price of everything is up in the US this year so I'm sure that's part of it. I am hoping for better wifi next year and would love to see some healthier quick grab items in the Ranger Station as part of the cafe, such as carrots/celery and ranch cups, wraps/subs or possibly more food trucks to help with the options and busyness of the cafe. The staff is always pleasant and helpful and I'm sure it's overwhelming for them at times. In a time where there is an employee shortage everywhere, I felt they were staffed as well as could be expected.

20+ year tent camper here. By far the most pleasurable camping experience I've ever had. Most activities are included in the cost. We stayed in a rustic cabin for 6 located in the back of the campground, C11. Cabin was a tight fit for 5. I recommend bringing a collapsible shelf and keeping yourself very organized. The area is also located next to a highway, however it was not distracting. Highly recommend renting a golf cart ($75 a day) as the campground is very large. Pools, play areas, and restrooms are well maintained. Crowd was family oriented. We did not encounter/witness any inappropriate (loud music, excessive drinking, skimpy clothing, or bad language). Bring $$ for the store which has food and lots of Yogi keepsakes. Ice cream, hot dogs, chicken, fries, ICEE, and more. I recommend the fresh Pizza. Lots of organized activities for all ages throughout the day. If your budget allows, stay in a Deluxe cabin to utilize the kitchen. My only complaint is they allow smoking on the property.

We absolutely love spending our summer vacations here. My husband and I along with our 12 year old and 8 year old truly appreciate the opportunity to be able to relax in a family friendly environment. This year ( 2023 )will be our 5th summer with Jellystone. The staff is always friendly, the donuts are delicious and fresh, the pools and restrooms are cleaned every two hours. We are proud to have the Barton Lake Jellystone Campground become an annual family tradition.

My husband reserved a campsite on 5/21/2020. We didn’t notice that it wasn’t an actual reservation through book your site.com. It said we would get an email back shortly to confirm. That was not noticed until 6/7/20. He called them and they said they were full Father’s Day weekend and could not help us. The manager Julie Hewes was contacted and she didn’t seem to care we had no reservation nor did we receive any type of contact to let us know! No email, no call, no letter, nothing! Our vacation for Father’s Day was very disrespected. And we have tried to go to this place for the past 5 years with out any luck. The jelly stone we usually stay at has a online reservation system that works. The one they use is a joke! We will never go there now.

We apologize that you were unable to camp with us over Father's Day weekend. The online reservations through Book Your Site state that they are not an actual reservation, and that you should receive an email confirmation from the park. If reservations do not go through, you are called or emailed to let you know. Our reservations manager offered to watch for cancellations since the park was full, however stated you refused, therefore we were unable to try to find a campsite for you for that weekend. It's best to call the park to reserve.

As much as I would like to leave a good review, I simply cannot. The amenities are great and most of the lots are comfortable however the unprofessionalism of the staff is another story.
This campground calls itself the "family vacation destination" however that is far from true. A group of four families reserved sites for 2021 in 2020 and paid a $150 to do so. We never received any information regarding our upcoming stay which prompted me in calling the park. After several attempts and no answer, I chose the email route. The park had no reservations on any of the four families staying even though money from all four families had been paid. Staff was unable to find the reservations by name which required us to do all of the work for them. Clearly, the campground was willing to keep all of the funds because they didn't send any emails to any of the families until I notified them of the upcoming stay. Because of the frustration, I requested a refund of our deposit. I was advised to contact the office which I did. I spoke with staff via phone and advised them of the situation and after several minutes staff was able to find our reservation which was now over $100 more than the previous years rates. When I advised I would like to cancel the reservation I was told that I could for a $25 cancellation fee however cancelling our stay would also kick our neighbors off of their site because it was a "buddy package." I'm sorry, but how is that a "family destination" when the ownership is willing to screw over families so they can make a buck? It is unfortunate because our family used to enjoy staying at the campground however under this new ownership, they have a different agenda and nothing they do indicates family first.

Avoid the rustic cabins if you want to get any sleep! Worst mattress ever!

In its entirety, this resort is pretty nice in terms of family friendly attractions and amenities. If you have an RV, or perhaps if you’re staying in a nicer cabin, perhaps the sleeping situation is better. We stayed in the “rustic cabin” where you bring your own sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. That part, while not ideal, was fine. What was extremely disappointing was the super thin mattress full of springs that results in a miserable night of uncomfortable tossing and turning and an aching back the next day. Reminded me of my family’s cheap pull out sleeper sofa in the 1980s. I am not a mattress snob by any means, and can pretty much sleep anywhere, but this was a new low. Why anyone should be charged money to endure this kind of pain and suffering is mind-boggling. This, along with the temporary paper blinds on the windows, made it clear they aren’t investing any money to keep these cabins in a reasonable condition or maintaining any standards for basic comfort. My recommendation: AVOID AT ALL COSTS and spring for nicer accommodations if possible!

Hello, thank you for your review. I am very sorry this was your experience at our camp! We offer these rustic cabins for families who want a combo between camping and glamping, so they are not meant to feel high end. I'd recommend booking one of our Deluxe cottages next time for more of a glamping experience. We hope the rest of your stay was more enjoyable. :)

We have an annual family trip to Jellystone for years. This year the large pool is out of order and 90° weather. I understand mechanical failures however a discount should have been offered to patrons. A discount would allow for other activities that cost a lot of money when the pool is too crowded to enjoy because one of them is down. If I had a mechanical issue and I could only afford to pay part of the fees they would not let me in so why should it be any different when they can't meet their end of the deal? if they can't provide everything advertised the fees should be discounted period! This place is expensive because of all of the amenities that they offer. We accept that but we expect all the amenities to be functioning fully if we have to pay full price.

Old owners were amazing, new owner only care about $$. Our family has camped at Barton lake yogi for many many years. We rented the month package in Sept 2020 the last 2 weekends being the “Halloween trick or treat” theme ( Which is the most expensive weekends the entire camping year).,and at that time we also rented the month of Sept for 2021. It is now June 2021 and and we just found out they took one “Halloween weekend “ away to move to Oct. with out letting booked renters know or adjust the price For those that have already booked. This is heart breaking to all in our group and the main reason why we made the reservation back in 2020. The kids were planning for the events for the last 2 weekends in Sept. With all of the changes that the new owners have made and chose not to inform those of us that were already booked. we will be camping else where from now on. Golf cart rental has doubled. Again new owners are all about the $$ and care little for the camper. I called and was told sorry but it is what it is. Shocking. I guess my $629.00 rental contract is Relevant.

Took 4 attempts to book stay. Then they wanted an extra $20 to hold the site I booked. Nope.
They were ridiculously priced but had great water park, restaurant, groceries and indoor pool. So they say.

Water park closed two week prior to stay.
Restaurant was closed until day we left
Grocery store was closed until day we left.
Pool was open but cold. Only employee we saw our entire stay. Arrived to turn pool heat up for weekend.
I tried calling office 4x. No one anyone to assist us.

It rained our whole stay. Guess what? No cable for TV.
We even ran to town to buy antenna booster. Nope. Still couldnt get a signal.

Lot was uneven grass, so you can imagine how much of a mud mess we had after 2 days of solid rain.
We were 1 of 4 couples in the whole park. You would have thought that they would have put us in better spots than they did, especially knowing it was our first stay, one person handicapped and all of us senior citizens. Took our money. Handed us wrist bands....what for? Park rules and sent us on.

Not impressed and will recommend the KOA or one of other 5 campgrounds first

We paid top dollar and sat in trailer while it downpours for two days in silence. Fun!
At KOA at least we could have watched TV.

I am very sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us! In the future, I recommend visiting during peak season or during the weekend in non-peak season. It sounds like you visited on weekdays during our non-peak season and unfortunately we do not have as much open during those days, this info is stated a few places on our website. If you would like to further discuss your stay, please email us at info@bartonlakejellystonepark.com.

We’ve been going to yogi bear Fremont over the Labor Day weekend for the past 4 years. Our kids the multiple parks throughout the campground so we can walk/ride bikes to other parks, bingo is always a blast & the many arts and crafts as well! The biggest seller is the water park, I’d say, but the earlier mentions really keep bringing us back since it’s all in one. The only downside I’d say is it seems the sites get smaller each year and the prices go up, but that seems typical anywhere.

I believe the cost is listed on the website for a day pass, but if you are camping it is included in the camping costs. It is fun for all ages, I have three boys 2,4 and 7 and they all loved it. There is also a smaller splash park on the other side of the pools if you have little, little ones that isn’t super busy.

We stayed in the cabins. They run $1100/week. As far as the tent camping and camper sites, the price varies. You will have to call them direct to get the price.

I don’t remember ever being more than a one minute walk to a restroom. We have stayed there dozens of times, rustic cabins, tent, and cottage with small kids. Finding a restroom and showers has never been an issue.

Hi Mae, We are sorry that your recent stay with us was interrupted with this unfortunate occurrence. We take all bedbug reports seriously, and always call an exterminator to investigate and treat right away. While we don't have barbecue spits, we do have charcoal grills in the park that you could have used. If you have any thing else you need reimbursed for, please contact Julie H at 260-833-1114 and she will help you with that. Again, we apologize that you experienced this at the park. Gina
