First of all it’s sad to see what Covid 19 has done to the hotel industry. Things have changed like no housekeeping and no free hot breakfast. That saying I must say that the Hampton Inn was very nice and quiet and all the employees were friendly. Bob the general manager was extremely nice in letting us have our 8 grandkids come and enjoy the pool which they had a blast. Derrick the regional manager also stopped in on us and made sure we were having a good time. Now that’s customer service. I would highly recommend this hotel while in Fort Wayne. Clean quiet and restful thank you
I’m a Diamond Honors and know the Hilton/Hampton brand quite well. I stayed at this hotel a month ago and again this past weekend. The hotel was in definite need of upgrades, although I felt it was well maintained, managed and clean for an older Hampton. What a disappointing change in 30 days! First off, the check-in was quick, front desk was friendly and staff appeared to show an interest on why we were in town. Saturday evening was completely out of control; as a large group of young teenage baseball players along with adult chaperones decided to party, roam the halls, playing tag on the elevators and take over the entire hotel to well past 2:00 AM. The vast majority (98%) of the hotel guests wore no mandatory masks, traveled in groups of 10 on the elevators, took over the outside patio, lobby, pool and don’t forget the alcohol consumption. The loud music kept the remainder of guest up very late. Sunday night was back to normal as the group had departed. My huge concern and disappointment were more to do with the numerous signs, rules, mandatory regulations posted everywhere as to the protection from Covid-19, with very few of the rules being enforced. Last month our room had a seal on the door and you had rules being followed. This time our room had food in the refrigerator, tv button had sticky goo on it, cob webs, toilet running, shower mold and dirty. I have a very hard time believing the “New Hilton Cleaning Policy” is being even remotely followed. Something changed drastically from our last stay and I’m hopeful that management will address the concerns. Unfortunately my next visit to Fort Wayne will most likely find me staying elsewhere.…
I thank you for your attention to your guests in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I was not able to stay a second night in your hotel. The first breakfast had no dairy-free and gluten free options for me for a balanced breakfast for the expensive price that I paid for frozen-food breakfast included. I stayed in the Extended Stay hotel next door with their lactose free breakfast for a lot less expensive price the following night. I was disappointed that the hotel staff at the Hilton did not offer me other options for my dietary needs. I had to eat at a local restaurant for my simplified breakfast after leaving your hotel. I stayed the second night in a cheaper hotel with nicely decorated rooms and updated renovations with a simple breakfast. I could not use the lobby restrooms because they were locked and not available for guests. The room was not clean underneath the beds with candy and kids' toys found there. The front desk did not care that I had no dietary options with the lack of freshly made food by their staff. The hotel price was expensive for the continental breakfast included. …
This is the ideal place if you want to catch an early morning flight. The airport is about 15 minutes from this hotel. A quiet place indeed. No restaurants at walking distance and that's a disadvantage
I don't know who is giving these great reviews. The place is old ,and dirty.Plus they only give you 40 tv channels on an old tv...For over 100 bucks a night you can afford to upgrade you're tvs,and cable...Place is down a dead end road with nothing around..
